It's a long shot that he will play. Depends how fit he is. He won't play beyond 2008 because he wants to milk cows in New Zealand.

Looking forward to him coming back this year, but I think there is next to no chance of him playing beyond 2008. Would love to see him put some good work into players like Currieand Orreal to help them prepare for next year.

Matthews and Crouch..:D

Dunno who the first bloke is. The second guy looks tall enough, but doesn't get first hands to the ball very often...

Post-Everitt we are looking at a Jolly-Currie combination. If Currie is mot ready or doesn't come up, LRT might have to fill in or even Playfair. Currie has potential though.

Currie must be a long shot if we are seriously looking at playfair in the ruck!

Looks like our 2nd round draft pick is going again.

I suspect Playfair may not spend as much time as a forward in the next two years as he probably thought when he signed up (at least until Hall retires). At the very least, he'll be our Spida replacement from 2009 - ie a solid ruckman who can go forward to stretch a defence and kick one or two a game.

Not too bad an option, really. I recall a tall player who used to be West Coast's leading goal scorer turned out alright for us in the ruck and probably won us a flag from the centre. :thumbsu:

Keeping in line how about we get big John Ironmonger firing again.

Actually even though he's not a ruck please bring back Wayne "Moose" Henwood back my all time favourite Swan.

Was nice to hear him get a mention last week when the umpire mistakingly called Matt Maguire Moose instead of Goose against Geelong ha ha ha

Does anyone have an updated status report on our Henry,is he nearly fit?
Is he playing in ressies yet to get match fit, or what?

He's listed on this week's injury list as "test" - which suggests he should play reserves if not this weekend then hopefully the one after.
