Please son, they don't want you at Geelong. They don't pay you any respect at Geelong please come to Collingwood. I would put him at the top of our list during trading week rather then yet another on baller. Scotland wants to leave-don't blame him not enough respect from the coach so maybe a straight swap and throw leon neon in there or a draft pick.

Geelong ruckman Peter Street is all but certain to be at the Bulldogs next year.

The 208cm Cat is keen to go to the Whitten Oval. He will be on his way if both clubs can strike a deal

I haven't seen much of Street, but the stats say he wins 45% of his hitouts. The elite ruckmen of the league (King, Gardiner, etc) win around 40% of their hitouts.

So what does he do wrong cats fans?

He's not horrible, He wins the hit outs but he's pretty crap around the ground. And as long as we have King he's never going to be our number one ruckman and that's something he would like to be.

street to the dogs for the 3rd round pick the pies give us for gilbee.

you heard it here first.

As for strets role, he will be contesting the a great number of centre bounces, then dropping back to fill the hole releasing darce to go forward.

Perfect.

Straight to the opposition.

That's half his problem stefoid, he's been ineffective at that role. Drops the head in marking contests too often if he thinks traffic is coming. He hasn't been a 'physical' player except at ruck contests, where he can lock arms and know he's not going to get crashed.
When he's gone forward he has done ok at times in VFL, but drops too many marks, and is virtually useless at ground level. Around the ground he's virtually a spectator. I like his tap work though - he was working beautifully with Carazzo and Bartel in the VFL after a little while playing in the same team as each other.

So you get a smart on-ball division that rove to his tap-outs, then if the opposition win the ball, it's the mid-fielders that the questions are on.

Not true. Geelong have stated that if they don't get what is required (specifically a second-round selection) then Street will be resigned with the Cats.

Conjure something else up, please.

As for Street's ability, it's not so much as what he does wrong, it's more so a case of him being over shadowed by King. Geelong have been incredibly stupid in their management of King, pretending he's super man and that he will never get injured. And of course, this year he happened to have an ongoing injury, which resulted in Street and Chambers actually getting some game time. And they impressed me a fair bit, actually.

I believe with a bit of confidence and experience, Street could be a top class ruckman.

Collingwood would laugh all the way to the bank if they gave up a third round pick for Gilbee, he has a heap of talent, better than whats on offer in that stage of the draft and hes already developed into a fine young footballer, then you go and waste that pick on a guy that can just tap the ball?? Please...... Im glad your recruiting officer is a smart guy.

Besides Collingwood will use the pick for father son reasons...

Whats all this fascination with Street all of a sudden, clubs must be really desperate for a tall, cause what I have seen of him, geez louise, you can do alot better by developing some young kid.

If Street gets a secound round pick from someone, the Cats have done extremely well, a third round pick, very well, a fourth round pick, the would still be doing ok... He's no good.

Oh well, trade week, you gotta love it :D

Do the pies have a 2nd rounder or are they using that to draft a Shaw/Cloke as well?

Pies 2nd rounder is very late, no different to dogs third rounder, really.

What about Gilbee for pies 2nd rounder, then dogs trade their own 3rd round for Street.

Its all very well going on about how much this player is worth, but different players are worth different depending on the club. Yes the dogs value a tap ruckman more than a skilled flanker. Go figure.

Scotland - Outside midfielder - tick
Davis - Crumbing foward - tick
Send them down to the Cattery.

However it's almost a done deal that Street will be wearing red, white, and blue next year. The Pies want Gilbee so maybe some sort of three way deal can be organised.

Matthew Clarke is not renowned for his work around the ground but he is a top tap ruckman. We have Darcy to do the round the ground work and Bandy as well.
Street could be handy for us, don't know what his value in the market is.

That is true but Street is much younger.

He is horribly lazy, dumb, and lacks strength.

After he contested the ruck, he just stands there, looking dumb. No club in the league can carry a player who does that.

He also gets pushed off the ball by rovers. Seems to lack any strength whatsoever.

Street only wants to be traded if he will be guaranteed first ruck.

Would be surprised if the Doggies would be willing to move Darcy permanently.
