Says 70% of the people on the polls board:

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=514403&highlight=kreuzer+cotchin&page=1

And that's asking who suited Carlton better, not who had the better year.
If that's the result on the polls board, then the opposite is true.

Which team would have the better midfield?
Richmond with Cousins, Cotchin, Deledio, Foley 65.96%
Carlton with Judd, Stevens, Gibbs, Murphy 34.04%
Guess who chased Grigg...

Was an absolute joy watching them play together at TAC level.....one would leave you shaking your head in disbelief one minute, then vice versa....definitely need to reunite them on-field ;) Get Cotchin to our change roooms at half time, or get him supporting us as a kid :thumbsu:
Ah...memories:thumbsu:

I think I jinxed Cotch in one of our many brawls...err discussions over the choice, by saying that I thought Cotch had a bit of work to do on his upper body, but his lower body was AFL ready:eek: Cotch showed some good signs that his body will be right and good luck to him.

It will come as no surprise that I am still happy with the big bloke though;)

Didn't realise a BigFooty Polls board result was such an important performance criteria.

Anyway, strip away the media propaganda, and WATCH his efforts on the footy field. Sorry, but Cotchin is a one-paced vanilla mid, on a huge contract to stop him going to GC17land. Hasn't dominate any game. Plays midfield in the 15th ranked side in the comp for 2 consecutive years. I mean, there is a massive discrepency between the media/Richmond support/BF Poll views, and reality. Like always I guess.

Pre-season + Richmond Suppoprters = plenty of laughs. Just kicking back waiting for the 2011 top-4 predictions now.

You're a moron. Attracting players is getting the likes of Nick Stevens, Chris Judd, Brock McLean and Lachlan Henderson, not guys like Shaun Grigg, Brad Miller and Bachar Houli.
Um, Grigg is a player isn't he? We attracted him, from your club no less. Your sig was right, we did attract opposition players.:thumbsu:

Actually toss bag it was about your string of wins attracting players from interstate if you want to get picky. Building a very strong VFL team with Miller and Houli on board

They're not. Funny though that everyone keeps focusing on the poll, and not the rising star betting and results.

Round 8 this year. Had 27 possesions, 11 clearances including about 6 centre breaks in a row in the third. Got 2 bronwlow votes for his efforts. Has Kreuzer ever managed to poll 2 or 3?

Wow, what a breakout game. 20-odd possessions. lol. Fact is he hasn't delivered on his BoxSeat-KB-hype and he's into his 4th year. Time to deliver. BTW are you enjoying preseason? Still have about 5 months before the inevitable Richmond supporter reality check. Enjoy it while you can.

This thread is BF at it's absolute worst.

Clearly Carlton fans are delighted with Kreuzer and would not swap him for Cotchin or any other player in that draft for that matter.

He is a once in a generation player IMHO.

Cotchin, granted his injuries subside and he gets a clear run at it, will be a very good player. Richmond fans have every right to be excited about what he could potentially bring for them in the next 8+ years.

It's incredibly difficult to compare players of different positions at any stage, let alone two players who have completed less then a handful of seasons and each had significant injuries.

Let's get real.

There wouldn't be many, if any, Carlton fans wishing we had taken Cotchin.

And Richmond, deservedly so, are very enthusiastic about what the future holds for Cotchin and their footy club.

Both players are pretty even and destined to be AFL stars. Cotchin finally has his body right and will walk into 2011 fully fit...a full pre season will do wonders.

Kruezer is a gun but it will be interesting to see how he comes back from injury....if you have ever had a knee reco (I have), you will know how much weaker the bad knee feels when running, will take a while for him to build confidence up.

If you asked me to trade Cotchin for Kruezer right now I would tell you to F*** off, but Carlton supporters would say the same.

Kruezer is a genuine ruckman in the mould of Dean Cox so I hope Ratten doesn't try to ruin him playing as a forward and lets him play the possie he dominated in at under 18's.

Some more terrific insight from the leaders in list management

Kreuzer is a once in a generation player, you only have to look at how much the whole team suffered when he went out of the team to see it.

The ones in bold have CURRENTLY shown more than Cotch.

Rioli: Game breaker. Premiership player. Has turned the game in the Hawks favour on many occasions off his own boot.

Kreuzer: A ruckman, who is quick enough that he can play as a midfielder, who is smart and strong enough that he can play as a forward. Will be better than Dean Cox in his prime if he stays injury.

Taylor: AA Premiership KPD. One of the best young KPDs already and has often held the best opposition forwards very well.

Cotch and Dangerfield are probably on the similar level at the moment, ahead of the other 3.

Thats not to say that finally with an injury free pre-season Cotch will be better than them this year. Cotch has shown glimpses but nothing solidly consistent so far.
Thank you. :thumbsu:

What Kreuzer has done rates a bit higher than scoring a couple of Brownlow votes. Round 11, 2008, in Kreuzer's first season, he won the match off his own boot, kicking 3 goals in the last quarter against Port at AAMI Stadium, after we had managed only 3 goals in total up to 3 quarter time (he did get a Brownlow vote in that game also).

FWIW, that game of which you speak saw Deledio get 35 disposals, Jackson 31 & Newman 27, yet Richmond lost despite having 42 more disposals than Hawthorn. Sort of puts it into perspective.

I'd say 27 would generally be refered to as 30 odd, rather than 20 odd. When you round off, if it's over 5 you generally go up. Plus prostats has it listed as 29.

Have you watched Richmond without Cotchin?

A game where he was fast asleep for 3 quarters compared to a complete domination in the middle?

For that match he had 9 touches, 5 marks, 3 goals and 3 hitouts. It was no better than Andy Collins' game this year vs the Swans.

Puts what into perspective? Are you saying they were all cheap stats? He got 11 clearances so he wasn't getting cheapies off half back.

He kicked 3 of a total of 18 goals (both teams combined) for the night. As a 19 year old. A phenomenal effort.

The idiot was trying to use Rising Star stuff to validate his flimsy argument before and is now trying to talk down the game that Kreuzer got his nomination in.

Just when you thought he couldn't get any sillier. I love Richmond fans in pre-season.

You serious?

Comparing nominations (one game) to the actual award (entire year)?
