So we went for two walks this weekend. The first ended with Charli looking like this, thanks to her love for running through the local swamp area.

Dirty Charli.jpg

The second ended with me looking like this, thanks to my jumping in to save Penny being mauled by a bull mastiff. She also has three bite wounds, one just below her left ear, one in her left ear and the other on her throat on the right side. Thankfully hers are pretty harmless. She just shook it off and has behaved normally since the incident, except for being especially cuddly. We had to walk about a kilometre to get to a point where we could be picked up by my mother in law and taken home (before heading to the doctor to get patched up) and she showed no fear of other dogs at all. What a trooper. My sister in law is a vet nurse so she came around and had a look at Penny and has given her some antibiotics but didn't think it was even worth taking her to the vet, given the low seriousness of the wounds and there being no pain, etc.

Sounds pretty lucky in hindsight, good effort mate :thumbsu:

I have been attacked a couple of times but none really gotten hold of me and my two, scary stuff at the time.

I've never had a problem, we tend to keep Marvin (the Pug) on lead 'cause he's a trouble maker (small dog syndrome), but Archie's never had an issue. My mum however, was traumatised by an incident with her Jack Russell and two German Shepherds, the owner basically stood by and watched as the two Sheps attacked. A visit to the owners house a couple of days later convinced the owners to pay Mum's vet bill. Both Mum and dog have recovered (it was a couple of years ago), but Mum is still very wary.

Geez Big E you and your woofer were lucky. This has always been my fear since I was a kid, the family dog getting attacked by wandering dogs. Even as a mature adult walking my dogs when I had the two of them I would be on the lookout for strays. Clyde would want to make friends with any dog he spotted while Bonnie would go into sook mode.

Clyde still above ground though those steroids he is on have made him more of a guts than usual, spotted him trying to munch on the coconut palm in the front yard. sheesh, guess a bit of roughage.:)

Update on Clyde. Had a seizure last night, first in almost 6 weeks. Wasn't as bad as the others, I'm tipping the humidity kicking in big time up here could have been a contributing factor. Was 30C but felt hotter. FYI at 7a.m. today 21.5C and 91 % humidity, holy shite. Stuff the electricity bill, my dog is more important than some dollars so it's on with the air con shortly. He does feel the heat and at 11 years and nearly 8 months he's entitled to some comfort. Still up at 5.20 a.m., itching for a walk. :)

Nice photos.
Ta, the flash on my DSLR decided to crap itself, bought a replacement (better model, still 3 years old) off ebay, so I could still use the lenses, flash etc. that I had.

Archie wouldn't sit still for a pic, so I got him having a game of tug with his "roo rope"

Going down memory, this was the day I picked up Jack.....

and this was him earlier in the day finding the sun spot on the stairs....

Jack would have been my choice too Dan, handsome pup/dog

That looks about right. Keep the chairs out of the way too because they'll be next.

I noticed the Strat in the corner is that legit or a copy?
Its just a cheap guitar I purchased when I decided to learn guitar, was a guitar/amp combo, brand is Casino. It now just sits there and occasionally plays Rocksmith on the PS3.

I wish it was a strat :p

LOL at pic in sun. Clyde would walk a mile for a shadey spot.

And a big aaaaawwwwwwww from me the pic of Jack the day you took him home. I'd want to take them all, especially the little one behind him peering up.
