Time really does fly doesn't it, can't believe Archie is 7 in April, seems like only yesterday that he entered our lives as an 8 week old bundle of chubby puppyness. Sometime this year he will be (in dog years) older than me.Happy Birthday Jack from me and Clyde. My how time flies, I remember when he was just a pup.![]()

Hey Gab, how is Clyde getting on?

p.s. Clyde's new fav treat is Watermelon...shares with me.

He's going OK Baz, thanks for asking. Will be 12 on March 4th, lucky it doesn't clash with the North v Gold Coast game UP HERE!!!!! Woohoo.
He is showing his age BUT hasn't stopped him being a total food thief. The meds he's on have increased his appetite, so far has stolen loaf of sliced bread and ate it, banana muffins, apricot stones, paw paw off the tree...now I have to watch where I put things on the kitchen bench because stiff old legs or not he can reach the top. Has taken a dislike to some backpackers who walk past...must not like the smell of them. LOL
How is Archie??????
Archie is being treated for an ear infection at the moment (it's almost cleared up now) which is very common in Labs (it's Archie's 3rd time) due to the floppy ears always covering the ear canal. He has noticably changed in behaviour in the last six months, he's much more affectionate and not quite as OTT as he used to be, I think he's in that small window Labs have between puppy and old dog.
Good to hear about Clyde Gab, sounds like the medication did the trick. Archie's going along just fine, so is Marv. & Max and all the fish.Archie is being treated for an ear infection at the moment (it's almost cleared up now) which is very common in Labs (it's Archie's 3rd time) due to the floppy ears always covering the ear canal. We had a fairly poor crop on the Plum tree this year and between Archie helping himself and the Starlings there wasn't a lot left for us. The Walnut tree however is loaded and both Arch and Marv will no doubt eat their share as well as the apples which are full of grubs (which the dogs don't seem to mind). It's funny how Archie will eat them off the tree and both dogs will eat them off the ground, but they still go ape over an apple which has been bitten into by a person.
People are often amazed that our dogs will crack the walnuts open and eat the nuts, but leave the shell. Archie has passed the skill on to Marv but his little Pug teeth aren't made for it quite as well as Archie.
I posted this vid earlier in the thread, but the changeover to the new site broke the link, anyway Archie does the Walnut cracking thing at the end. Sorry to those wo've already endured it
Along with me and those who went to watch the NMFC play yesterday, Clyde was knocked by the heat..poor old thing..Air con city here.
Like watching footy in a sauna I'm told.
That looks like my old dog Sally. She was a half Foxy/Cocker Spaniel. That's going back to the 70's and 80's. She wasn't quite as big as the later additions Arch or Nanook, but she did have a fair bit of shit in her.
