Hope the pup is alright. The heat we've be been getting can be fatal for dogs if they are outside for too long.

I also hope hes safe I forgot to say it was last week but.I do hope someone picked him up I would'nt want my/anyones dogs out there in this heat without any shelter.

Dogs and couches, like bread and butter.

Ha.....quite right mate.

Mine have three at their disposal at my joint! One in lounge (hence pic). one in "their" bedroom, and one outside. Bit over the top maybe, but plenty of space here and my daughter has no 1 spot in all places of course...haha

Like Dan ^^, haven't posted for a while so here are my (not so much) pups over Xmas....!

Looks like a ridgeback? I'm keen on getting a Hungarian Vizsla - absolutely adore them and have researched certain breeds of dogs for a few years to nail down what I want.

A very nice breed, love the colour too. Will you be getting one soon Nate?

I hope so, just waiting on my breeder connection to have her bitches go into heat, which is I think this month.
She's a vet, my age, and we met at the Royal Melb Show September gone.
Anyways, that breed suits my personality and physique to a tee!

Yes mate, she is a purebred (many cross-breeds out there) so is in the right proportions.

I strongly considered a Vizsla also - the colour of both dogs are stunning, can't go wrong with either!

I've had some dealings with Ridgies, most of the bitches showed interbreed dominance rather than the males and they seemed quite aloof and not really protective types but more, stand-their-ground types.

How did you choose one breed over the other?

I think mainly the look got the breed over the line, as I considered many other aspects and had multiple breeds in mind (RR, Vizsla, German Shepherd, Doberman, Red Setter) - all had their "plusses and minuses" so to speak.

From what I read at the time (Ruby is nearly 10!) there are a few different lines of breeding in Ridgeback's here in Aust, and that shapes their personality. Mine tries to be very dominant with dogs and people, but it's more bluff rather than truly aggressive - she also only associates with about 3 people who is in her circle, anyone outside that she doesn't want anything to do with!

I think you find a Vizsla will have a more easy going nature going by the Ridgebacks I have known, but less effective for guarding the house etc. Depends on what you want I guess?

Took the two boys out yesterday…….

Hey Dan, are your guys aggressive at all to other dogs? Not usually in their breed is it, just the Pitbulls? (yours are Staffies aren't they?)

Maybe Archie is sick of me painting the deck and not playing with him....

Or Maybe he's just sick of being painted

Wow..haven't been on Big footy for ages...Been busy dog sitting and doing Gabbie stuff..Fox footy not in the budget this year and our game not on TV.. gawd I hope we LIFT.

All your pooches are looking mighty fine!!! I've been looking after a variety of breeds and they've been so well behaved, must have the magic touch huh...except for the frigging Staffie that lives across the back fence..talk about territorial..oi..he even barks at me sometimes if I poke my nose out the back door. Goes bananas at any dog that stays with me, even if they ignore him..his owners check him, but it's only temporary..he needs THERAPY...LOL

Been raining here on and off for 2 weeks or so and flipping HUMID today when I went for my beach walk.
