Pettifer for pick 9

some rumours flying about that you guys are really interested in pettifer

just wondering what you guys think of him and what you'd be prepared to pay for him?

pick 9 has been mentioned but i would suggest it would be closer to maybe pettifer and 20 for your pick 9 rathe then a straight swap

I planned on it when I read it but never did. Weird.

Anyway 20 and 9 for Pettifer is ok but probably slightly slanted at the Saints end now.


However I dont know the saints actually need Pettifer.

Far more likely to use 9 in a trade with Cam Wood or appropriate ruckman.

No way I would do that deal.

Pettifer has had a good couple of seasons no doubt, but not worth losing a pick in the top 10 for regardless of upgrades.

A second round pick plus a player would be the only deal you think would happen. But I can't really think of any player the Tigers actually would want from us, so probably a moot point.

As much as i rate pettifer and would love to see him in red white and black next year i dont know if he is worth any more that pick 9. Plus i had also expected (hoped) that we would use pick nine to secure a ruckman from either geelong or wood from brissy. I hope that the saints go all out on trades this year and disregard any youth policy as we owe it to Harv's to have one last big lunge for the line.

Keep pick 9 AT ALL COSTS... regardless of 08 being Banger's last year, we cannot risk missing out on quality kids after a year missing the finals. Trade when you've got late picks not when you've got a top 10.

I'd rather see us trade an X.Clarke for a ruckman than give up pick 9.

And definitely not for a flash in the pan like Pettifer.

Pick 26- Tayte Pears or best available athletic key defender
3rd pick- Traded to WC for Ben McKinley
4th pick- Best remaining ruck prospect

WC aren't going to use anything past a second rounder in this years draft (assuming Judd trade goes ahead).

So sorry you won't be getting B Mac for a 3rd rounder.
