Yer Carlton sure did well in this phantom! Collard before Selwood is a pearler. And many others too! Just looking back at my picks, fairly happy with them, especially getting Westhoff at 48. Connors would have been a good first rounder if his head was screwed on right because he could play. Austin still battling to establish himself but he did come along nicely last year.

Connors, Austin, Westoff, Alwyn Davey. Not total flops there.

If Diablo has gone to bed can I take the pick? - if yes, we will take Joel Selwood for 2 simple reasons -

1. Geelong needs to build a solid group of on field leaders if it is going to move forward and Selwood is possibly the best of this draft

2. We need a strong clearance player - despite popular opinion the majority of our midfielders are outside players

Amazing to read back through this thread with the benefit of hindsight. Very hard to believe James Sellar was once seen as a potential #1 pick.
