I'd be happy to keep going straight through, no real need to wait for the ND is there?

I think that's a waste of time, but anyway. Surely it would be more informative and interesting if we were to wait and see who gets taken in the ND and starting again with the Rookie Draft. It would be far more accurate.

what happens for example if Moss is overlooked in the ND? Do we then take him off Freo and put hiim in the Phantom Rookie Draft? I reckon the idea of phantom is that we don't know who is going to be in it. Besides it might be interesting if a smokie gets taken in the real thing how far he fell into the phantom RD for example?

I agree with Gilly. That's how it was done last year and it worked very well IMO. I think there may have been a phantom PSD as well for those who passed on picks in the ND.

If it's purely an exercise to see what players come up for Rookie list contention, we might as well just put together a list. The rookie list is generally very hard to predict, and I for one have no idea who WCE would take. Very hit and miss.

As much as this bugs me to say this, me too.

Where do you think he'll go TGR?

Look maybe I'm in the minority, but he's a bit one paced for mine and whenever I've seen the blowtorch applied to him he's looked rushed and wasted the footy.

Personally he doesn't make my top 40, but I'd take him anywhere after that.

Think he'll go a fair bit higher than that, but it's all specualtion at this stage. For mine he'll go top 25, top 30 at worst.

Josh Kennedy

Height 191

Weight 90 kgs

Kicking Depth – 50+ metres

Kicking Skills – Good 7/10

Handball Skills – Good 7/10

Marking skills - Strong overhead for the position he plays

Played mainly off HBF and a little midfield last year for Sandringham Dragons. Stepped up into a midfield clearance player this year and with his size was pretty dominate playing against a lot of underdeveloped kids. Nice kicking style (very similair to watching his old man run around) . Has been carrying some injurys this year ????????

Massive unit and has some pretty good genes if he wants to succeed in the AFL. His old man was one of the most unheralded players playing for the Hawks in their most dominate years. John Kennedy could play just about anywhere, the old fashioned UTILITY. (Back-Forward-Midfield) Yound Josh should start his career off a HBF and should slowly be added to the midfield rotation as the years go by.

Biggest attribute is strength and poise with the ball that makes him look a class above others.

Biggest deficiency is he does not seem to be able to read the game which means he disappears for periods of the game.

Pace is only average also but at 90+ kilos u would expect that.

I heard when Hawthorn chose to pick him for F/S that he was 188 cm and 88kg, but still very strongly built!
