I just can't believe this guy is still available and I was intending to take a smokie with my last pick.

SYDNEY PICK 79 TOM HURLEY (Sturt)

Showed excellent ball winning ability throughout the year both at U18 level and with Sturt at Senior level.Should just add to the midfield depth we have at the club.

Hawks already have enough players that butcher the footy when they get it, thats why the Hawks passed on him :p :D

James Thompson- Claremont

Thompson is an athletic freak who stands at 195 cm, a player who could be the modern day defender if this makes sense he will be the guy that mans up Pavlichs and Franklins atm has a lot of development to do but has the frame to be a very well built guy who runs 15s in the beep test and has pretty decent skills. Project Player

I thought that if Carlton use 81, then they can't participate in the PSD. Could be wrong though.

Pretty sure we are going to take pick #81 and only have one selection in the PSD.

My mistake guys. We have 31 players currently on our list, plus 6 picks in the ND (#1, #17, #19, #35, #53, #67) and #1 in the PSD gives us our list of 38 players.

Therefore, Selection #81 Carlton - Pass

Thommo is an interesting pick. Has some shortcomings but I agree that the potential upside is worth a shot. It is a pity that he wasn't fit for Carnival as I thought that he would have balanced up the team and I wanted to assess him.

You know your stuff.

If Channel 9 still had the footy he would get plenty of air time too.

Absolutely. I have him going late in the draft. I think at least one club will be tempted to have a crack.

If not, I'd love WC to rookie-list him. I think he's an ideal rookie candidate.

Pick 83 - Dean Kelly

He has the ability to win the hardball and rack up 30+ possessions, but can also move forward and kick a bag of goals. Very rare combination of skills, and is sort of like a less classy version of Brad Johnson. Has a very good work-rate, has a lot of courage, excellent mark for his size, great tackler and a very smart player. Very much a genuine footballer, rather than a taller athletic type. He lacks a bit of height, fitness, skills and pace, which recruiters deem as pretty crucial these days. As such will go very late and possibly as rookie.

Was Oakleigh's Best and Fairest last year as a bottom age player and only injuries prevented him from winning it again this year. Showed very good leadership qualities and despite missing several games still came 3rd in the Mourish Medal.

Macca,I see Thompson had a 14.54 beep at camp but ran a 3.21 20m.Great motor for a taller guy but that's in the very slow class of pace.
Anyone know where Lingsface is? I just tried to send him a PM but his messages are full.

How about we give him who Burgan picked for St Kilda with the corresponding picks? If he comes online later he could change them.

85 - Stefan Martin

87 - Brett Collins

89 - Pass

Give us a couple of minutes for #86 and #88.

Lingsface feel free to change your selections.
