Cotchin will not go past number 3. One of Masten, Palmer or ebert should fall to us. If they were all gone I would go for Myer or rance. I just dont rate McEvoy as highly as others I guess. He is unproven in the ruck and I think more of a tall forward.
I have a feeling that Carlton, if they have picks 1 and 3, would be keen on with pick 3. There's no midfielder in this draft better equipped to feed the likes of Murphy, Walker and Simpson than Masten and, as it stands at the moment, Carlton lack that type of player even though the return of Nick Stevens will help. I see Masten as a much more appropriate selection than Palmer and Morton and Cotchin will most likely have been taken. I'm not so convicned he's a better option than Ebert but he's more touted.
I can see Melbourne looking to pick up Palmer as he's work well off the feed of McLean and McDonald. Then it's the Bulldogs and they will almost certainly select Lachlan Henderson.
This the top 5 looking something like this:
1: Matt Kreuzer (Carlton)
2: Trent Cotchin (Richmond)
3: Chris Masten (Carlton)
4: Rhys Plamer (Melbourne)
5: Lachlan Henderson (Western Bulldogs)
That leaves us primed to snap up Brad Ebert with pick 6.
If Carlton win on the weekend however, I believe Masten will be available at pick 5 but, to tell you the truth, I'd rather we pick up Ebert.
McEvoy isnt proven as a ruckman. No way risk a first round draft choice for him. One of Masten, Ebert or Palmer in my opinion.
