Well I picked Jones from Vic Country who is a CHB and I didnt think that Hawthorn needed another Key Forward with Buddy and Roughead with backup players like Thorpe and Boyle.

Well Hawthorns list is excellent across the field and I thought that they could use another Key Defender because Croad obviously wont be around for ever so Jones was the obvious choice and I picked Jetta because I reckon him and Cyril will be a perfect combo along with Buddy and RougheadCheers, curry23. I didn't know that Jones was a potential key backman.
Without knowing anything about the club's plans, it seems that Thorp is being groomed as a defender at Box Hill (played most of the season - when fit - at CHB or on the half back line) rather than as a forward, but that may be part of his learning curve. Boyle is more a third tall type forward rather than a key forward. Dowler was drafted as a forward, but he's being played other types of roles at Box Hill in recent weeks, so it's interesting to see how his career progresses.

Cheers mate, Jones is only 18 so there is no reason that he couldnt grow another inch or 2 so that would make him tall enough to play KP and also Grover plays FB and is only 188cm.Pretty sound logic there.
Only query is that Jones is 190cm, so i'd have an issue that he might be a bit small to play KP at AFL level.
LMAO off at adelaide getting pick number 11.. more like pick 6!

Well what other positions (besides KPD) do Hawthorn need?I'll nitpick about Jetta.
We have Stokes as a rookie listed player (highly likely to be promoted to the full list if he hasn't already been) who has been a good forward pocket for us this season. Michael Osborne has also been reinvented as a small tackling forward. Even if Cyril develops into a midfielder, I think we'd be fairly happy with Stokes, Williams and Osborne as small forwards.
We might look elsewhere for our second round pick.
