Just want to get some feedback on what you guys think about my selections on the D&T board. Three mids so far, with picks 35 and 51 to come. Have taken a combo of Gibbs/Armitage and Boak.

Have been discussing this in length with a couple of other posters to get their input as well.

Thoughts?

Top job so far HBF, our midfield woes are addressed in one fell swoop.

Gibbs, Murph, Simmo, Walker, Stevens, Armitage, Boak, Bentick, Scotland, Houlihan, Blackwell, Carazzo, Russell, Jackson, at last some real competition for spots, and mids developing in the ants.

All we need now are Tim Houlihan, David McKay and Caolan Buckley and our draft will be complete

its always just a big raffle at that stage though really. Hope we get some major talent along the same lines of a hird and fisher.

How good would it be our pick 51 turned out to be the next judd. Lets hope we get lucky!

Gibbs all the way for mine! him and murph will form the basis for the next super midfield for the next decade!

Was the height issue the reason why Jetta slipped so far? Do you see him as too small, or that we have enough smaller midfielders already, or that pick 17 is a bit much to pay for what would likely amount to a forward pocket?

Or do you just consider Armitage to be a better player regardless? We do need another inside mid so I'm not unhappy with the call.

Just not sure he has the capacity to play in the midfield at AFL level mate. If that is the case, we already have Eddie Betts to play the role of the FP

Yeah, Armitage>Jetta IMO.

Jetta vs Armitage:

Both are talented prospects, both have their upsides, both will make it in the AFL. I think with choosing Gibbs at #1, Armitage is a wiser choice as it gives us another classy ball extractor to feed guys like Gibbs and Murphy. He will be AFL ready almost immediately, although we might let him settle off a HBF or BP. Jetta would add pace and flair, but as HBF said we have Betts to move into the midfield and play that role. Not saying there would be no place for Jetta and Betts in the same side, but with a combination of Armitage feeding the ball out to Gibbs and Murph we have a lot more leverage and HBF made a good choice IMO.

Well done on the picks HBF. I am extremely happy with Gibbs and Armitage. Would love if we got them both in the real draft. I probably would have preferred Nathan Brown or maybe Houli to Boak but overall I think you've done a pretty good job.

I think he was saying that we wouldn't take the same players the Hawks might take because we already had the 3 runners ahead of them.

So the question then becomes, would you take someone like Tippett and Morton for Thornton?
