Here is a list of some players, (approx 70) that are going to be seriously looked at come draft day, may help every one with their phantom drafting.

Have recieved some help from both, Ant333, and Fojo1, who ably assisted me in getting profiles and info on all players listed, their are more out their but could not find info on them.

any ways, they are listed in 8 categories, they are

1) KEY DEFENDERS - FULL BACKS/CENTRE HALP BACKS
2) SMALL DEFENDERS - BACK POCKETS/HALF BACK FLANKERS
3) MIDFIELDERS/WINGMEN
4) UTILITY - MUTLIPLE POSITION PLAYERS, not neccesarly tall players.
5) RUCKMEN/RUCKMEN/DEFENDERS
6) RUCKMEN/FORWARDS
7) KEY FORWARDS - CENTRE HALF FORWARDS/FULL FORWARDS
8) SMALL FORWARDS - FORWARD POCKET/HALF FORWARD FLANK

players are listed where they play most of their footy, (ie, Rockliff goes through the midfield, BUT, plays predominantly forward)

Any ways, here they are.

HAPPY POSTING..

Just quick question - is there no Queenslander's because u dont think any will get drafted or did you not have enough info on them?

I could not get any info on the, only have the very limited information on the AFL website from 'Shifter', wouldnt mind some more info on:

Matt Thomson (QLD)- huge baller, and uses it relatively well.

And

Curtly Hampton (NT) - good contested mark, tough.

dont have any stats, player wise, height weight, from any of the div 2 sides, apart from the 'div 1' sides NSW and Tasmania.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

great job with this mate
good run down on some of the young talent

just picked up on a couple of double ups in there
thought alwright was an interesting one
could go 30-50 or 70+

Massive effort.
I agree with 90% of what's been written.
However you did double up on a few players.
You also included a couple of ineligible players like Jesse Crichton and Kane Lucas...

Yeah, cheers.

Thanks for that.

went back through some of the stuff I have, and he seems more of a mid pick, between that 35 - 50 period.

Very good job.

Although Kane Lucas isn't eligible for this years draft so shouldn't be in there.

Top Job Buddy

Well done awesome job, just a quick query u didnt have James Strauss included i though his championships as a small backmen were very impresive. Do you rate him not good enough or what are your thoughts??

Curtly Hampton wont be drafted for a few years yet can still play under 16s next year.

Actually couldnt find any info on him, thought he was very good in the champs aswell, but, couldnt find any real info on him, any help would be appreciated, as I will/can make ammendments:thumbsu:

surely Paul Cahill a kid with this size and incredible speed and mobility would have to go higher then 50 -70????

am beginning to think he could go as high as the second round, but maybe wont, as this is a very deep draft, i think he may rise up the rankings a little bit and get taken in the 2nd/3rd round.

yeh i agree i realli couldnt seen him dropping lower then 25, although i came across his stats from the carnival.. i posted them on another thread but the most noticable ones were 2nd in contested marks, most shots on goal and 3rd for goal assists

Depending on who else melbourne takes i'm hoping Cahill might be available at our 3rd round pick, which i think is a reasonable chance.

If we take Watts and another KP inside the top 20 then maybe not (hoping for Watts and 2 mids with 17 & 18), but i think he'd be a good selection at about pick 34, if not i couldn't see him going past ports or carltons 3rd round, so should be inside top 40

Get my name right, you are under sellling me by 222 :p:)
And for anyone interested i should be finished doing my 2008 profiles at some stage over the next couple of weeks. Have 52 done and about 30 to go :thumbsu:

I knowwe'll probably go best available but if we end up with Watts and two fast mids with good disposal with our fist three picks I'll be very, very happy.
