I cried in Planes Trains & Automobiles when you realise that John Candy didn't have any family to go home to. I consider myself a man's man but I'm not made of stone!
Saw this film for the first time recently. Great movie. Not a huge fan of Steve Martin but 'Planes' and 'The Jerk" are truly great films.

I cry a lot. The end scene in field of dreams when they play catch gets me every time. Bloody red dog, only watched it because the missus promised me the dog doesn't die in the end. I'm still not over that.

He laughs at Apocalypse Now. Phil doesn't cry when peeling onions. The onions cry because they know it's Phil.
Do you reckon Walsh watched some of our games from this year and started saying "The horror...the horror" to himself?

1m pa for how many years? 10? The term is also key and the total sum of the contract. Not just a yearly amount, what's the guaranteed total?

Carlton or collingwood will go est 12m I reckon. Will we guarantee that?
Thing is Patrick has gone on record in the past as saying he's not a big believer in the 5+ year contracts.

Personally I really don't think it will come down to $ or contract length with Paddy. In terms of dollars, we should be able to match all bar the absolute cellar dwellers like Dogs, Saints and Melbourne. Collingwood is possibly the only legitimate destination with enough potentially free cap space to trouble us. Geelong will have a bit to throw, but I know for a fact that the players would condone a grandfather type contract that would blow us out the water.

It will come down to whether Danger wants to stay with the Crows, or if he might have a greater chance of success elsewhere.

Money/length of contract will be a non-issue, he's already setting himself up for a cushy career in the media post-retirement. He'lol get $800k+ for 3+ years where ever he goes.

I think more of an issue for Danger would be whether he thinks playing in Adelaide vs Melbourne might impact his potential media opportunities post-retirement. It's difficult to get regular panel slots on the Footy Show, 360, On The Couch, Gameday etc from Adelaide.

I sincerely hope Walsh, Fagan and Roo have the goods to convince Paddy to stay and I just hope Trigg and co haven't set us back too far with their pathetic antics...
