How about Phil and Mrs Phil in Seinfeld?

The most famous Phil of all of course:

Philip II
  • The Philippines was named in the late 1500s after Philip, Prince of Asturias (1527-1598), later Philip II of Spain and other territories (1556-1598).

To be fair I drew the line at fictitious characters. How could I forget Philip II? But was he know as just Phil????

Philippines is known as "Phils" ... so very likely. U know what's really funny. When I watched the Crows v Collingwood game in Angeles it was at a sports bar called Phillie's!!! I am not making this up.

Walsh did say that he does like the transition plan concept and grooming a Snr Asst to be the next AFC Senior Coach...... With this in mind could it be Scotty Burns
No one else has mentioned it though, which makes me weary since it's Rooch saying it and i'm assuming he's only assuming it's possible since Burns was at WC the same time as Walsh so he's guessing they have a connection + the obvious Adelaide connection Burns has.

Bosley revealing too much about himself. Although at least he did blur his face in the photo of him wearing the blue shirt.

In my freezer too. But implying all cones are boring/tasteles or whatever hasn't ate the Drumstick cone. Now I want the cone. Off to the freezer I go

Well, that sort of confirms what was being rumoured: we had our man in mind, if not on the dotted line when Sando got sacked. Also that Roo's prints are all over it.

"The image of Adelaide sacking Sanderson while having a preferred candidate is reinforced by Ricciuto’s comments. Some of the candidates interviewed by the Crows’ five-man search party for Sanderson’s replacement say they left their presentations feeling Adelaide had already made a choice.
Ricciuto said he left his first meeting with Walsh convinced he fitted the billing of an AFL senior coach."

Could we have sacked him earlier but waited until 3 days before we could officially approach Walsh?

Don't mind this.
Usually we love the coach at first, slowly fall out of love with them and by the end we're egging their house and ringing 5aa daily.
This time let's start non-committal or even with a few doubts then slowly be won over, growing to love the coach over time.
Yeah, I don't mind it either. I think we're always too quick to make the call on footballers, wanting to slap them with a 'gun' or 'spud' sticker before they've had a chance to develop. Same with coaches. I'm cautiously optimistic rather than just cautious right now because we seem to be making moves to get the background stuff right. I certainly hope so because it would be nice to see Phil given every chance to fulfil that 'genius' tag that's getting a fair working out.

I think he will be a very early season guest on On The Couch next year. Wonder if he will go on The Footy Show.

What a lot of people seem to like about him is that he has an interesting story and path that took him to the position, very different to so many other senior coaching aspirants.

Jeez, he doesn't look the type to submit to TFS antics.
Yeah I hope he does a Blighty and refuses to go on. He probably will tho. I haven't watched the show for years, wouldn't even watch it if he is going to be on. I'll stick to my Gerard and Robbo.
