Bradford has always had a cannon that was definitely never his problem
For most of the season though he was either not given the freedom, or he didnt have the confidence to take those shots. We need utilise his arm more

Apologies for intruding guys but you need time to utilize QB's that have cannons for arms.

Hence where the OL comes into it and most " Cannon QB's " are not automatically successful at the highest level as the defenses are so good in the NFL these days and having only a Cannon as a weapon gets tricky with no time in the pocket and WR's that are not always open. Stafford is a classic example of this and he has struggled this season mainly due to protection.

You need a balance of arm strength and accuracy coupled with smarts to make it at the highest level and it is the hardest position to play for a reason.

Bradford is no chump though and can play the game but so many other factors come into play when discussing QB's at this level.

you also need receivers that can win their matchup in man coverage.
Aghalor seems to be our best deep threat, and he has only been back for about 4 games.
Best is a pretty weak word in this context. I wouldn't even class him as a deep threat yet. He has 3 catches over 20 yards

I guess the best argument that not throwing the deep ball is not about the qb or the playcalling is the fact that we ran alot of 4 verticals last year. We also ran it vs atlanta when Austin had a drop 20 yards down the field. I think they would call plays like this if we had the personel for it, because it looks like defenses are showing a single high look most of the time.

I think the line has contributed to this. Not sure how long you could sit Bradford back there waiting for it to develop.

At the same time, Chip's justification for check down city this year has been that we took what the defense was giving- i.e. he was arguing that teams actually weren't playing the safeties low.

I think we need to throw it from time to time to try and keep the defense honest. Only needs a completion on a deep ball or two per game to put the thought in a DC's mind.

Was interesting to see that we threw two deep balls Ajirotutu's way. The overthrown one looked like he had separation.

Nothing particularly unexpected there. Hope our CBs are good to go next week.

You've got to figure that Washington are favourites to win the division. IMO they beat us next week. For some reason they always seem to play well against us.

That we still could win the division seems strange to me.

Yeah I get the feeling they will win next week as well, seems like that kind of year. We are 3-2 against them under Chip, would feel better if we were playing the Giants TBH.

What an uninspired display! There is a cancer in that organisation that needs to be healed or moved on before next season.

I did like that Huff got a few good catches & Bradfords commitment in the pocket on the deeper ball. There would be less dropped balls if he took a little heat of his passes

U want him to throw it softer?? I am sure the defensive backs would just love this.

There is no cancer in the team, Arizona are just better.

Every week you usually see a new concept the offense has practiced. And this week i did not see anything. I saw them execute the HB toss play more often than when it was introduced vs the bills. I think that maybe chip was keeping it pretty vanilla, given that the result did not have any effect on whether we make the playoffs.

Stko, the fact that a skins fan liked your post screams that there is something is not right with your eagles fandom. Chip is 3-2 vs Washington and the last win was at FedEx when cousins threw a late td with an awesome throw, vs great coverage. However desean was not playing, and he is defo playin this week.

forget who the targets were but at least 4 occasions a player had a ball go through their hands without a db anywhere near the ball... Looked to me like the player was like ..wtf?? Pitch & catch is pretty easy I would have thought.... But you assess the game how you like.

Thoughts on what Kendricks said? They would want to back it up.
I probably would be more confident if this was an away game, but given Cousins record away & although improving, the Skins D rankings are not much better than the Eagles, so reckon what Kendricks said is ok, these teams are on similar levels & it should be a close game.

This has always been the problem with your posting. You seem to think 'fandom' places an obligation to not hold honest opinions.

There's probably a 'world's greatest fan' award awaiting someone who still thinks Sanchez is a franchise quarterback.

Chad liked the post because it says Washington will win. That's fine for him. Say something that reflects well on Washington and he gets a warm fuzzy. Probably great 'fandom' in the Chock playbook.

Chip beating Washington with Andy Reid's team and Mike Vick / Foles at QB does nothing for us now. We blew our season against Washington last year, and we're poised to do it again. Largely because we're not very good.

Thought: Kendricks and Alonso should collectively shut the **** up and make some plays. Heck, even a play between the two of them would be nice.

No coincidence our run defence went to shit when Hicks got injured.
