I want to pose this question to you guys.

With the Knicks trading away clearing up space for one or even possibly 2 superstars have we made a mistake with spending 80 mil on Brand.

Should we of cleared this space in the hope for when the superstars LJ, Wade, Amare are out of contract we can swoop? Just wondering what everyone else thought.

I don't think so. We have Brand..who should be a 20/10 guy for another 3 years minimum...he's only 29.

We have Thaddeus Young who is an out and out superstar in the making...he can score at will

Add Iguodala, who can manage a triple double. Plus Marreese Speights who is looking the goods. Louis Williams, who is a solid scorer and can dish it.

Personally, I think this team just needs some experience and maturity.

Let AI show his stuff as the team leader...he started last season slow, and came out good. Just give it time

Apologies for incomprehensible speach...Saturday night/Sunday Morning isn't the best time...but I felt I needed to be heard :p

Alright we've got this one. Gave me a scare early but Miller's finished off with the goods.

Final score 89-81

Miller with 9points, 8 Ass. Dal with 16 boards, 8 points. Brand led the way with 23 points 12 boards.

Good note is that Larry Brown is struggling to beat former teams :thumbsu:
 
..Shocking sixers, but never fear warsaw is finally here:p In my absence they've lost 3 now that I'm back i can confirmly predict a win against the bulls tommorrow. (here's hoping)

Looks like i was right, :eek:.

Win in OT Miller scores season high 28 points and Brand and Iggy socre 22 and 25 respectivley. Good to see Speights getting a bit of it 11 points and 8 boards.
 
It's going to be an intersting game against Lakers. We were killed by Boston and we all need to see and hope that we can at least match it to some degree with the best teams. Won't be expecting a win but at least for a good showing.
 
Looks like Brand won't be with us when we play Detroit:

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Philadelphia forward Elton Brand will miss Friday’s game at Detroit with a strained right hamstring.

Brand had an MRI on Thursday and did not travel with the Sixers. He is listed as day-to-day.

Brand didn’t play the final 17 minutes of the 76ers’ 114-102 loss to the Lakers on Wednesday when he first complained of the injury. He was limited to three points on 1-for-7 shooting in 25 ineffective minutes.

Brand leads the Sixers with 16.7 points and 10 rebounds a game.
