1. I create the hoops/stripes on a new layer each time.
2. Once it's set out to my likeing I hide all of them and select the Base layer.
3. Then I use the tool that just selects only colour on 15-20 tolerance and use it to select the base so there is a little dotted outline now.
4. Then I right click and choose Sect Inverse.
5. Then I un hide all the layers I just hid and select them in the Layer Window one by one and press delete each time I select one.

this is the first time i have ever used photoshop and your first tutorial was great and really helped me and this may sound like a stupid question but could you fill me in on how you create hoops and stripes?

Hey, I didn't even realise this (along with other things) was stickied, neat.

I'll repost my templates here if anyone wants them.

Adidas
Nike
Puma
Reebok
ISC
Kooga
XBlades
Diadora

I'm feeling that a lot of people aren't using photoshop because they can't afford it/wanna keep it legal so I think I'll make up a Paint.net tutorial for these people. Paint.net is free and is basically a stripped Photoshop and personally I think when it comes to stuff like this there's no real difference.

Thanks for posting your templates for sponsors, Personally I wont use them because I want to create my own but Im sure there are other people that will. Also I will go out on a lim and ask people to thank you for the trouble you have gone to with them. ;)

Just looked at one of your templates. They are Paint templates arent they??

Well I thought I may as well share them incase anyone else wanted them and I use them with photoshop although they were made with paint.net
I don't think they work extremely well with paint but they can be used with it.

Ohk. How do they work, because the the template that I use in Photshop is a .psd document that I downloaded from the first post in a KOTW. The one you have posted just look like right click and save...
Maybe I should just read your tutorial on the first page.
I will do that tomorow, so you can ignore my question;)

Here is a very simple numbers template for Photoshop. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XO3ZKIEN

It has 2 layers. One for the main colour and one for the outline, although you can just delete the outline if you want just 1 coloured numbers. To use it, double click on a layer and change the colour with the colour overlay option (GANTY shows how to do this in his tutorial many times), do the same for the outline. Once you have your colours right you just merge the layers together and drag it onto your jumper design.

The numbers are the right size for my template, InCases and Smeagles (at full size).

I've taken Smeagle's number template and have adjusted it to how I'd use it on Photoshop. I smoothed it out so it doesn't look pixelated but it may look a little too smooth (it's hard to find the right balance) so I'll post both versions. They work the same as the one I posted above, except the include numbers 0-9.

Edit: I made a new one based on the font

This one's pretty much perfect.

I can't downland Photoshop. I went on THE PIRATE BAY, but it still stayed 54.7% during the download.

I would edit that post if I was you coolknot, I dunno how strict the admin is here about piracy. Im guessing it is piracy??

Also I think LeeARM mentioned earlier in the thread about a site called paint.net. It is a free download of a program that is basically a stripped down Photoshop and it would be more then suitable for jumper designing.

Thanks GANTY. I didn't read earlier in the thread. Sorry.

Look at next post ---->

PART 2:
Maybe you're right about the piracy. But my brother downloads stuff but never messes up. Currently in the process of downloading. Hope it's good.

PART 4:
It's wonderful! Better than MS Paint of course!
I made an example jumper with Paint.net:

Ive got your PM. Is it alright if I email you the .psd file to the hotmail address that you put in the PM.

Sorry guys I will try and get the download link sorted out;)

no need to email the .psd file out it is re-uploaded and he link is working :)

Later on I will upload some more .psd files with the sponsors collars on them. They will also work with this tutorial. :)

EDIT I have uploaded the following apparel sponsors templates:
Addidas, Diadora, ISC, Kooga, Nike, Puma, Reebok, XBlades. They are only the front and back of the jumpers. The links to download are at the bottom of the original post. :)
