Just a thought regarding the uncertainty of who the best players are going into the draft due to the compromised season.
From memory in previous drafts, the top 1-2 players have often been predicted the season beforehand anyways. And it’s often the bolters that come from pick 5 onwards generally. Thoughts?

On another note after watching those clips, what’s the go with entering I50 and hitting leading players on the chest? Is that something you’re allowed to do?
I know right, whenever you watch Modra highlights it's the same.

All our players under pressure just kick as far as they can or dump kick it

The only time today someone lowered the eyes they hit Fog on the tit and he dropped it

We absolutely need Thilthorpe but we also need Brad to leave and get tier 1 compo so we can get an elite Mid too.

I mean, sitting the ball on Murphy’s head has gotta work some day right?

Yeah priotising mids in one draft expecting it will change things is optimistic.
I'm happy for a KPP and mid hybrid this year then go hard for mids next year.

You can dream beyond just one or two elite midfielders.

We look set for a long stint down the bottom of the ladder

I think it was one of those new gimmicks the SANFL introduced last year, along with a free kick to the opposition if the ball goes out from a kick without being touched, and forwards leading towards the ball carrier.

I think we can bounce back in 2022. Not top 8 but off the bottom to the 10-14 range then look to top 8 in 2023.
But we must draft well this off season.
Not just draft well, big decision over Walker and Crouch brothers for starters this off season and bloody play Sholl for Laird to give him a kick up the arse.

Will Phillips sounds like exactly the type of player we need
Prefer this guy.

4. Elijah Hollands

Best position:
Midfield/general forward
Height, weight: 188cm, 80kg
Recruited from: Murray Bushrangers
Projected draft range: 1-10
Rationale: If not for an ACL injury, would be in the No. 1 mix and may have been No. 2 on this board otherwise.

Strengths:

Damaging both forward and through the midfield, high impact per possession, makes quick and sound decisions with ball in hand, moves the ball on quickly, takes ground balls on the move at speed, agility, evasion, avoids tackles in traffic, takes on the game aggressively with his run, long-range goalkicker, kicking penetration and hurt factor, composure under pressure, contested ball-winning

Weaknesses:

Improvement not as rapid as many of his peers in 2019, unclear best position, nclear scope to be a full-time midfielder

Freo are still a threat but we're holding them out on percentage

No threat whatsoever. We literally cannot lose the spoon. They will flog us and even if we somehow accidentally drew with them our percentage takes care of the rest.

The only possible way we could lose pick 1 is if the AFL implements a draft lottery, if that happenswe sre ****ed because even with a 60%+ chance of snagging it you just know we would hit the <1% chance of pick 6
