I would trade Jamar, if he was able to secure us and draft pick upgrade or younger star. We are talking about finiding a bit of form at 26, a bit like PJ found form last year. PJ is younger and there aint a lot different between PJ's best and Jamars best really. would love to be able to somehow get the nine pick as well!

Oh but there is a massive gap between PJ's worst and Jamar's worst.

If the offer was right then I would be willing to part with Jamar and then we can perhaps snare Seaby who is nowhere near as bad as people make him out to be which at the very least could be a stop-gap solution.

agreed Dez, we don't want to just give him away, and Seaby could be worth a look. Funnily enough we talk about Seaby the way other club supporters talk about Jamar.

mate, i thought bails gave johnson a rocket when he was leaving the club, saying that if he didnt want to play for the MFC he could get the f out now

I beleive when he confirmed to Bailey that he was going to Carlton Bailey said to him 'ok come out and we'll let the guys know'.

Bailey walked him into the training huddle and asked him to explain to his mates why he was deserting them and not even giving them the respect of getting a trade. He berated him a the type of character we didnt want anyway and Johnston left in tears.

He thought he wasnt getting picked enough/enough game time but he manipulated the draft ala Scott Thompson and left us with nothing. We could have kept him with a better contract but I think its looking like we did the right thing.

That's actually a very accurate point there.

Maybe so, but to be honest, most opposition supporters wouldn't really be aware of the huge difference in the Russky between this year and last year, I'd say.

Or Wona they see his ability without Bias!

He has had a good year this year, but is that a flash in the pan!

I always thought he was a strange cat ever since i was at a bar in Torquay two summers ago and he sat by himself drinking white wine in a balinese singlet..... Don't ask me why but he just looked very strange, and the girls in the group who didn't know him were the ones to point that out.

He won't take us anywhere and i think if we can get something decent he's gone. Otherwise if he stays bye bye PJ

Well mate, if he maintains his level next year, and stays on the park, then obviously I'll be vindicated here.

Obviously plenty of others agree with me too.

Personally, I'm pretty excited about what he can do for us next season.

but you also have to look at opportunity Wona. If you compare stats (And I am the first to say stats don't always tell the full story) they have had very similar years, yet Jamar has been the most opportunity when playing for the dees and Seaby has been used sparringly for Weagles as they have preffered to give time to Nic Nat and has been continually behind Cox.

Is Ryder a better ruckman then last year no, just been given more opportunities to shine in the role this year.

Take out his five goals, which were only against Thornton hehe, and he is the same with much more game time. He is and always will be average, and i have hopes that given the Opportunities in the ruck Meesen and Martin will be much better Ruckman then Jamar and PJ.

Really we are talking about keeping a guy that has only had 5 kicks in a game twice and is 26!!!! If poeple are saying get rid of Newton why the hell have we still got Jamar on the list.

Remember we all though PJ was the answer to our rucking problem last year.....

Not totally against you here Wona but i think we need to be realistic

Really, you read that? All stats are all but the same, more scoring shots hich is amazing consider Jamar kicked a bag of 5.

Hit outs ar down also though would be interesting to see how many each have contested, I would dare say Seaby a lot less, which i allueded to in last post.

You really read that Jamar is favoured rather easily?? Both aint that flash really. Though at least Seaby's stats would improve with game time

Back On Topic...

I can see pick 18 being a very crucial decision and will require lots of educated guesswork from Barry. According to Pistol Butcher is now over 200cm and is very agile but also a big body who could be handy while Trengove is going to be a dead set star.
If a mid like Mitch Duncan will (in the Fd's opinion) slip through the we must take Butcher.

Personally on draft day I'm going to be both delighted and sad because I want all of the 3 big ones
