Trying to weigh up whether to go with your inciteful opinion on a young footballers potential, or the clubs'.....
Don't like attacks on our youngsters either. But in fairness, plenty are choosing to ignore the club continually saying their intention is to develop Logue as a key defender. The opinion that he will become a midfielder or be released into a non KPD role certainly hasn't come from the club either.

Instead of having ibbo,Crowley and Suban using 3 spot , Logue can become 3 in the price of one plus ( better height , leap )
Or we play him as a key defender where he will excel. In his first year he was truly awesome in marking contests on tall players. Bar the Richmond game his ability to nulify his man was outstanding. The criticism from some on here is beyond absurd.

Release Logue to where exactly? The brutal truth is he hasn't shown a shred of football nous since his goal in the preseason comp. At this stage I am more hoping he's not an outright bust than daydreaming about him running through the guts.

You must be joking, I reckon he had a really encouraging first year.
Sure he had some moments where he looked a bit shaky and made some mistakes, but some of the good things he did were really good for a player of his age and games played.
He has played with a good deal of nous when he has backed himself to get to a contest, compete, repeat effort and even the contest. Not bad for an 18 year old.
He disposed of the ball efficiently on most occasions - within his means.
He only used his line breaking kick on a few occasions to advantage which I suspect was mor a structural and coaching instruction - not a reflection on his ability or nous.
Time will tell, reckon your shooting from the hip a little with your knock on him.

Is a good option, as long he don't lost contest too much , the reason I prefer him as run with role is to improve his concentration and his game sense , instead of Blakely run with Bont let Logue do it so Blakely can get free.

Taggers usually tag because they're not good at much else. Blakeley is a gun. Logue is a defender.

A gun tag Bont is a bit waste, Bont like to go forward most of the time so Logue is defending anywhere . If you really look at how Freo leak goal this year , those dangerfield,Martin , Kelly just attack without anybody going to them .

That was at the start of his third year. Now he's enterting his fourth, less tagging, more attacking role. Mundy will spend more time forward, different role and expectations for Blakeley.

Who do the dirty job , if he is not doing it . One to 3 year player . Logue, Langdon,Hughes ,tucker are the lesser known players.

I'm not really sure if we'll use a tagger. Players like Danger probably. Connor will still do some tagging for learning purposes, as it's still required, but it's time to unleash him in the midfield.

Because he's a defender, not a midfielder.

I can't see somebody with defensive quality to do some run with role ,

1) Bennell, Walters ,s.hill,b.hill, matera, Fyfe,Langdon,tucker,Mundy ( all NO) .

3) Pick 2,pick 5 ( absolutely No)
4) Grey ( maybe but most probably will not be best 22 with matera coming in and bennell back)
5) Neale ( too small for negative role)

May happen. The future is open. Much prefer him just developing in the backline, and that backline bonding really well.
Nah , our midfield just don't have defensive quality to limit inside 50 , sooner or later with large amount of opposition inside 50 the defense will break eventually .
