I'd say the obvious reason is Roos only staying for 2-3 years, and being disinterested in players who won't contribute to an immediate improvement. He has an overblown legacy to consider.

It will be more about in what state he hands the team over in 3 years, not so much focussed purely on next year...in 3 years time someone like Aish could have a huge impact on our team where as all these 27 -28 yr old players people are suggesting to bundle will most likely no longer be around.

Pick 2 won't be handed over without the right player coming our way.

Really? That's actually super interesting. Hopefully we haven't gotten to a stage where even potential draftees are trying to avoid getting drafted by us (though I personally think it says more about the player than the club). Thanks for sharing. Chances are Roos would be very different in an interview to Neeld though. There's a good chance Neeld turned Crouch off.

The only way Adelaide could get pick 2 is by giving up Dangerfield, Sloane, Douglas or Crouch, which obviously isn't going to happen. People need to realise we're not just going to trade pick 2 to Adelaide because they want Aish.

Brodie Smith could get us interested, but it'd take a bit more than just him alone.
