I reckon Trav's disposal isn't to bad, in fact I think he's crimminally underrated. Though I have a soft spot for him.

Even with that bias I'm not stupid enough to think he'll be involved in any deal for pick 2. At best, at absolute best, we'd get a round 2 for him. Round 3 more likely.

You're guessing wrong. Myers isn't worth pick 2, and we could get Colyer for nothing in the PSD.

Which I have made none other than GWS are into Carlisle for pick #1 which was on the Ess website.

fairly sure (and hoping) im wrong. I dont see us trading Myers. He just broke into our midfield. We are a top 6 team and he has a developed squad around him. Why go back to where we were when he joined?

true on Colyer, however you only get so many PSD picks. So in cases its beneficial to trade for a player who could just as easily walk into the draft. I can see Roos looking at someone like choppy to pad the depth out for a couple of years. And to pass on his experience to a young group.

Lewis+savage for pick 2 would be close. Melbourne need anothern midfield leader and borderline AA player. someone ultra professional and will give them 6 good years. Myers is jot that. his absolute ceiling is good player not potential match winner

No one is going to give up a player as good as those two for a draft pick. There are half a dozen midfielders in the AFL as good as Watson. Why would you give him up for a kid who will potentially be as good?

It's like people saying GWS should trade pick 1 for Nat Fyfe. It's just silly. Freo weren't even that stupid in the 1990s let alone now.

If Melbourne want to trade pick 2 they'll get a good player that fills a need or a player and pick, player and swap of picks type deal. They're not going to get an established superstar.

If Melbourne would rather use pick 2 and get the next Scully or Trengove etc. instead of say a Longer and pick 7 for example then that's fine, but they're not going to get Pearce Hanley and Tom Rockliff for it.

He may be, he may not be....I would back Roos and Jason Taylor to make the right decision during the draft if that's what we end up doing with pick 2.

And Longer doesn't fill a need for us, we have ruck stocks although they aren't our strongest position on the field they sure aren't our weakest either.

Our biggest priority is mids, whether we draft one....or we trade our pick for a mid and a pick downgrade I don't know but i'm sure we will have a clearer picture this time next week.

Of course not, but they are the only 2 Essendon mids that we'd consider trading for pick 2. My point is that Essendon don't have anything realistic to trade for pick 2, so their supporters should stop throwing up ridiculous names like Myers and Colyer.

If we get Myers and Colyer, it will be for a 2nd rounder max.

I've never seen a short player, with so little distance between hand and boot, who can only kick it about 40m anyway, butcher the ball with the frequency of Colyer. Especially a left footer. At least if Myers is going to burn it he'll burn it 60+m down the line.

Wouldn't put pick 2 near either of those guys. I'd give up pick 20 for Myers and pay overs for Colyer - pick 40 as a combination maybe.

I don't know it. O'Meara is more talented. But that's like asking who's better Chris Judd or Lenny Hayes.

Judd at his prime ran away from packs with speed, kicked goals, was devastating. But Hayes at his prime bulldozed with finesse through contests and had amazing impact as well. Right now I'd be just as happy with either of them.

As for this draft I wouldn't be surprised if we picked Josh Kelly if we kept pick 2.
