Adelaide should really look to take what they can get from us for Vince and trade it for Polec. He's the potential high class talent that they wont get anywhere else in these 2 years of draft penalties.

We're not going to trade Vince for Polec. It's the same absurdity as Pick 2 for Vince.

I still think the dees will end up trading pick 2 and 20 to pies for picks 10 and 11

Melbourne get picks 10 and 11 (from pies)
Collingwood get pick 20 (from dees) and Taylor Adams and Jesse White
GWS get Shane Mumford and Pick 2 (from Melbourne)
Sydney will get pick 19 (from GWS)

Melbourne get Hogan next year who is better than Boyd. Melbourne will also be the big surprise next season and not because of Roos. Melbourne go through next year with minimal injuries they win 10 games. Think get the players onto the field they didn't have fit like Clarke, Trengrove and the rest, another year into the younger players like Viney and add Hogan.

Paul Roos has taken on Melbourne knowing this. Melbourne's list is nowhere near as bad as some make out, also they're players are not as badly developed as many make out. They've had problems with injuries to senior players and behind the eight ball with the loss of senior players, couple with the dislike of Neeld which led to no motivation. Roos doesn't have to do much to get them to 8-10 wins next season, develop well and he has 10 wins. Make finals in year 2, extend by one year and make PF in year 3 walk away a Melbourne FC hero and his coaching record enhanced.

I dont disagree with some of this.

Melbourne have this potentially lethal forward line ( especially when you add Hogan ) but they cant get the ball in there. Roos is there to steady the ship and make the club an attractive destination. Roos is not the messiah, he is more Bob the Builder to set down the foundations of a sustainable rebuild. This year he will buy leadership and some speculative kids, my tips are the best WAFL player in Michie, the best SANFL kid in Lyons and the best VFL kid maybe a Hallahan plus the best leadership he can get his hands on.

All he has to trade is picks their current list is so undervalued its near pointless trading it.

We are talking about pick 2. All this waffle by Melbourne supporters is just hilarious ( and they are trolls ). Honestly, they are living in pixie land. Pick 2 this year does nothing for them. Why, they are so keen to trade it and trade it they will for the best deal. For years the Demons fundamental problem is they have over-rated early draft picks. Exactly why they are in the mess they are.

Im not saying they will trade it to us. I still think the Swans are in the box seat to get it done.

Why would GWS give up Pick 19 when they can get Mumford for free?

Why would those clubs do those trades, none of them make any sense whatsoever !!

Two Planks = "thick as" ???

And what is it you think will get them pick 2?

Why do you think that?

No, that's a bad trade for Melbourne

Two top ten (near enough) players in the draft for one of the players taken 2-5? That's not so bad a deal for a team looking for more talent. If Freo could get their hands on pick#2-4 I'd be looking to move it on for picks #10 and #11 to pick up a couple of WA guys.

If we can't get a decent midfielder for #2, I wouldn't be against trading #2 for pies #10 & #11.

I'm not a draft expert but it seems that the talent at #2 & #10&11 is viewed very similarly.

If the pies trade #10 or 11 for Adams perhaps we could trade #2 to GWS for their #9 & say #10.

My preference would be a ready to go mid but think this is a worthwhile fallback option.

Because are probably not going to use it anyway .

If the assumption was they were only going to use picks 1 & 9 in the draft.

They could easily offer 9 & 19 to Brisbane for pick 7 and I'd imagine Brisbane would jump at the chance

Depending on what we give up for Yeo - I'd imagine WC would probably jump at 9&19 for Pick 6.

We're not going to trade Vince for Polec. It's the same absurdity as Pick 2 for Vince.

Obviously a 3 party deal that has Vince to Melbourne, but Adelaide need pick better than pick 30 for Polec and Melbourne have pick 20 which is a very reasonable offer given Vince is heading towards FA next year and being pushed out of your 22 in all likelihood. If I was Adelaide and Melbourne offered pick 20 for Vince and then pick 20 could get Polec (and maybe an exchange in picks in Adelaide's favour) then I'd take it.

Why would the Dee's trade pick 2 + 20 for picks 10 + 11? Pick 2 would get it done as the value goes up the closer to 1 you get.

Instead of trying to insult people, why dont you try and put up a fair trade !!!

I can't because the framework you started with is impossible to work with and as others have stated, Mumford is going to GWS already for nothing.

I just don't get why those clubs would exchange draft picks for the sake of it, there are no players attached either which makes them look like trade deals for the sake of doing a trade deal.

What do the other pies supporters think. I like Steele but he isn't consistent enou for me. His a great user of the ball one of the smartest. But it's pointless if he doesn't get the pill enough. I'm usually expecting him to get at least 25+ possession in at least 18/22 games for someone of his ability.

You're expecting an awful lot from a bloke who is still just 22 years old.

Nevertheless, Sidebottom averaged 24.1 disposals per game in 2013, and hit the 25 disposal mark in 11/23 games this year. In 2012, he averaged 26.5, and hit the 25 mark in 16/24 games. Still has the odd poor game here and there, but seems to be going alright overall from my perspective. Melbourne would be falling over themselves to get a young player who produces like he does.

Can't see how Melbourne benefit from this. They would surely only trade pick 2 if a player is involved.

This is the gospel truth. Would trade pick 2 for Sidebottom in a heartbeat.
