Yep. Right now, Buntine and Bugg are "depth", and they deserve better than that.

Therefore, trade them out to where they can play firsts rather than NEAFL.

They may not walk straight into the team or anything, but they'll prefer playing for Casey firsts and earning a call up to the MFC, that's for sure. Of course, if they walked straight in, I'm wrapped.

The fact they've already had a few years in the system works in our favour. Skinny kids aren't our priority.

Couldn't agree more, Although it never looks like it beforehand, History shows pick2 not really any better than pick 9 and pickup 2 very highly rated players.

I can't see Aish being a 'must have' for the Demons anyway. We've got Toumpas, Viney and Trengove who we really want to improve. Bigger bodies are going to suit us better and while Bugg and Buntine aren't 'huge', they're ready to play senior footy.

I really think this deal is a massive win for Melbourne. As you mentioned Bugg's game against the doggies was fantastic and heading into his third pre season will only get better. Not seen much of Buntine but has good wraps on him and is a no. 5 draft pick. Throw in pick number 9 and it looks good for the dees.

For the record, while I think the proposed deal is fair to both sides, I'd prefer GWS didnt do it

Well yesterday someone asked Jon Anderson that Frem dont really need to bring in a young kid, so what about Frem pick 16 and Viv Michie for Jeese Hogan, i think he said somethig like thats not a bad idea.
