Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

Seems the decent type. However why is he so 'good around goals' and can play at 'either end' if his stats record 0 goals?
Stats are wrong. He kicked two in one game in the performance that got everyone talking. One was a very neat set shot and the other an excellent left-foot snap.

I guess it does state average. For example he may kick 15 goals in 18 games leaving an average under 1 so it is listed as 0 instead of .8 or .9 etc

anyone able to post his number of goals and games played cheers in advance:thumbsu:

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

Wilbur Post: This year he kicked 10 goals in 20 matches - Not sure if that is enough for me to think he is going to a key positioned forward that we are looking for to replace Richo.

Seeing as he can play just as well as a KPD I get the feeling the club will develop him to play down back.

Do you think he could end up like Richo and play off the wing with his contested marking abilities?

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

The reason he has an average of 0 goals is he played the high majority of this year down back, but in years previous to the 2008 season, he often played forward. Has incredible potential and I have seen him completly dominate under 18 games where he would have taken 12 of so contested pack marks. He's an excellent kid too and he will work his arse off to become the best player he can down at Tigerland, hope he goes well!

He played most of the year down back thats why he didn't kick many. Though surely we'll devlope him as a forward as we're already stacked up down back!

u need to add 1/unlimited passion 2/increase tank by fctor of 10 3/add icon status = NO WONT END UP LIKE RICHO but might make a tall winger wait and see

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

Yeah I thinking more position wise than Icon status with the Richo comparison.

POHHHHHHHST!

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

I like the look of this kid. Great pair of HANDS and very agile.
Should spend the year in the twos where he can develope his game. His potenital is unlimited.
Jack Post Morton Hughes - then you can throw in the resting rucks in Putt and Vickery and we look agile and dangerous.
Pressure is on Hughes now.

Would've preferred McKernan, but whatever....sounds like he's not too shabby...

haha you two, like to see how many hits on google Wilbur Post has had in the last hour.Def showing you're age.:D Let's make every post a winner.:o

We needed talls - horses for courses, of course, of course....:thumbsu:

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

We already have Thursfield, McGuane, Rance & Moore as key position backmen. Why the hell would they draft Post if he has played all year in the backline for the jets. Cannot get over this Richmond. What are they thinking???

Re: Pick 26 - Jaydyn Post

Post is a can play in defense as well as forward,
Just like Hurley who is known as a defender but once kicked 7 goals up forward in one game.

Moore comes in at 189cm IIRC hardly what you would call a true KP height. By getting Post it should enable us to use Moore on the midsized forwards who we don't really have cover for.

Official RFC site says he's 190cm. Him and Mcguane(191cm) should be treated as half back flankers with the occasional job at CHB on a tall(195cm+). Thursfield is the same height(191cm) as Mcguane and 1cm taller than Moore. So none are overly tall, but Thursty is so good at FB that he's always the choice. But I prefer 193cm+ at CHB. Schulz and Polak can do a good job for a while imo
