Gary Buckenara has our pick 27 becominging 32 and taking this guy. Anyone know much about him?:

32. Collingwood — Tom Doedee

Half-back, 187cm, 80kg, Geelong Falcons/St Joseph’s

Buckenara says: A very good reader of the play, Doedee is a bit like Andrew Mackie and also has a bit of Ben Stratton about him because he’s got the long arms and is agile so he can play tall and small. He’s got pace, agility and he reads the ball in flight very well so he can be a third-man up type.
His profile in Inside Football says:- Tom Doedee Geelong Falcons | 1/3/97| Ht: 187 | Wt: 84

"Tom played as a defender for us but locally has played as a forward. This is the first year he has really committed to his football but he can play on talls and smalls and has done well. He's got great recovery at ground level and great athletic ability and is a smart kid. Some great attributes about the way he defends." Geelong Falcons coach Andy Althorpe.

32. Collingwood — Tom Dundee

Isn't that just a different name for schizen?

That would be one of the more unusual names ever to appear on an AFL list if he makes it. If it's an unusual name you're looking for to fill that one last list spot then I'd suggest Didymus Blanket (nominated by Gold Coast as a potential Academy recruit) has him covered!:-
Along with Buzza, Blanket is one of 250 prospects profiled in the pre-draft edition of Inside Football magazine.
Buzza and Blanket would certainly fill Hines yearly funny name quota!

There's an echo in here

Snoop - you think there is much chance we will go for one of Still or Close with one of our later picks?

Think another key forward is needed and feel they might go the devil they know instead of a kid....

I would actually like to see them go but I probably dont really see it happening. I think Close showed a bit but he is still v v light and he would need a stronger body to consistently play AFL so I reckon he is a way off. His testing wasnt great either. Still maybe but he could have another year in the VFL and see how he goes.

Write up from my Phantom Draft on him......

# 68 Fremantle - Tom Doedee (Geelong Falcons / 187cm / 80kg)

Havent seen a whole bunch of this kid but he really took my eye when I did. Has terrible run with injuries but has shown recruiters is capable of some special things. Tom is a lovely kick and really weights the ball to advantage, he can take a contested mark and is very courageous and happy to go backwards in the air. He has reasonable speed and very good agility and is pretty clean at ground level. I think he is probably best suited to a HB or wing type role. Came back late in the year and gave a couple of performances to scouts in the Falcons finals games.

Why: Have seen a bit of him and what I have seen I have liked. I genuinely think he is a player somebody might swing at a bit earlier. He has a bit of upside for mine.

It sounds like Buckenara is making a hell of a reach for him with our first pick.
