Pick 27

Fiorini looks a good all round type. His standout left foot that sets him apart however he also looks to have good vision/awareness and decent decision making to boot. He has a lot to work with basically.

Anyone who plays as a mid or medium fwd is going to have to work their arse off to break into the team. If that player has a few tricks however such as breakaway pace, elite crumbing abilty or very good goal sense then they may see a few games next season.

Our apparent interest in Fiorini has been floating around for a while now so if he is still there and we like him it wouldn't surprise if we went that way. Elite left foot, good height and good decision maker appeals.

Scout on EB&W also confirmed our liking of Mountford a couple of weeks back too so they might be hoping for him late.

If we go with two mid types I would hope we look at a small crumber with our other live pick.

Just a hunch but it makes sense for mine. Not that Sydney don't want him, but I get the impression he wants to stay in Melbourne.

Could be a case of Sydney saying look, if a Melbourne team bids on you, we won't match. If anyone else bids, we'll match, stop you from going somewhere you don't want to go, and try and convince you to stay.

The Pendles thing, the draft range, the Dom Milesi following him on Twitter. I dunno. Enough for my prediction...

We may not be in it anyway. In the top 30 mock in today's Herald Sun (by Sam Landsberger) he has Dogs taking him at 21 (pushed to 25) and Swans not matching.

As for the Dom Milesi Twitter follow there is an interesting group of his other follows around that time. Apart from Dunkley he has also followed James Parsons, Dan Houston, Sam Skinner, Gach Nyoun, Ryan Burton, Ben Keays, Darcy Tucker, Cal Ah Chee and Stephen Tahana.

Burton, Keays, Tucker, Ah Chee unlikely to be there but will be interesting to see if we end up taking any of those other names.

Brayden would be a nice get with our pick. He is a mad pies man as well. I think he might be gone by our first pick though

From what I've heard if Mills goes at 3 then they'll struggle to match anything under pick 30.

It's going to be a very close run thing based on this years picks if we did indeed put in a bid at pick 30-31 (where our first pick is likely to slide to after other earlier bids are matched) then they'd likely not be able to match it.

However there is scope for them to go into a small deficit next year, so they'll still get Dunkley if they want him regardless.

Fiorini hits a lot of targets with his left peg, but a lot of them seem to be dinky 15-20 metre sideways kicks. Does he have penetration when he needs it, and is he actually quick? Seems strange to want another midfielder given how many we have recruited recently. Meanwhile the forward line is bereft of options. Good luck Trav.

I suspect if there's a half decent tall available at either end that Hine feels represents decent value for our pick we'll jump on them no doubt. The good thing about a shallow draft though is the latter rounds are pretty even and some half decent prospects will slip through I suspect.

Yeah, I'm intrigued by the list of follows, mainly because there are other players in the draft in the same draft range that he hasn't began following.

Could mean nothing, but if it happens... he'll cop a vicious stalking next season!

Really hoping we get our hands on Callum Moore and Hasham Kerbatieh. If we manage to bring them on plus Borthwick Keefe, Thomas and Golds this will be the best trade/draft period in a long time.

Really? 12 months ago we got Varcoe, Crisp, Greenwood, DeGoey, Moore and Maynard.
I understand that our trades this year are a lot stronger, but I don't think this years draftees will get close to being good as last years... Pretty even if you ask me.

Drafting won't even be close to how good it was last year but Trading was Lot Better this year as well

I was talking to someone who had seen a bit of Fiorini as a junior and he said he made Lonie look like Hodge. For those who've seen him is he that soft?
Funny you mention Lonie, I think his movement and kicking is a cross between Pendles & Lonie.

Mitch Brown....

Geez you don't rate Salvangi. Most have him 2nd or 3rd Round. You have him no one Drafting him.

You did not have us Drafting Keeffe or Thomas who Hine has said we will Definitely do

He is the rookie as a F/S.

Ive also only taken 3 rookies as Keefe and Thomas already committed to. Nobody else would select I would think. Maybe someone hits Keefe but unlikely.

Jack has Fallan down the Boards since the U-18 Champs then. People where saying he was a 1st Round Pick.

I bet the Blues would love to get him as a Rookie F/S
