Pick 27

We will be getting The Weed with our first pick. Murray has been to every club and informed them that if they pick him all they will be doing is wasting resources on developing him for two years after which he will go to the pies. Has also told them that he will play like sh*t to keep his value low so they will also lose out on compensation.
You heard it here first.

N:B Is wishful thinking a valid source?
Seems valid enough to me.

Fwiw, I reckon that the Pies will be keeping in close contact with Weed, regardless of where he ends up, much like how they kept in contact with Aish during his time in Brisbane.

It will be somebody that has hardly been spoken about here, like Maynard who was a similar pick.

Maynard was talk a bit Pre-Draft last year

Really? Because I don't remember much talk about him at all. In fact, I remember thinking 'who tf is Maynard' at the time, and being bitterly disappointed we didn't take Lamb.

Well he was Talked as High as a 1st Rounder during the Lead-Up

Adelaide was rumored to be interesting in him for their first pick.

Yep and Brett Anderson in 1 of his Early Mock Drafts after the Season had him going 14 to the Crows

But nobody really thought we were going to take Maynard at 30. people were saying Cavka

Herald Sun had us Taking him in there Mock Draft

I remember Maynard being top 15 in someone phantom draft.

Brett Anderson had Crocker and Phillips going a lot higher than we got them

33. Ben CROCKER (-)

19/2/97 | 185cm | 84kg | Forward | Oakleigh Chargers
Better suited to the front half rather than midfield and can out-work a defender on the lead.

40. Tom PHILLIPS (-)
7/5/96 | 186cm | 75kg | Midfielder | Oakleigh Chargers
Found plenty of the ball at all levels this year – including match in the VFL. Has a decent left boot too.

I know he was talked about in general, but I'm talking about this board. Be barely got a mention on here.

Anderson on Sier

54. Brayden SIER
Northern Knights | 12/12/97 | Ht: 190 | Wt: 91
“Brayden is a late developer who played for Marcellin and won their bets and fairest – he had been in our squads as an under-15, but he was a little bit chubbier and heavier then, and he kind of hadn’t grown. He’s a big-bodied mid with good vision, good hands, kicks the ball well and is a really good size and shape now. He only played a couple of games, but he’s created a lot of interest.“ – Northern Knights’ talent manager Peter Kennedy

He's got the genes, I think he will become a good player but it's hard to nail down his spot. His old man was one of the few Carlton players I've ever liked.
You have a thing for octopi?

If you love someone, set them free..
My father doesn't want me to be him...
