Pick 3 + Fev is not enough

are you kidding!! you would have to be. pick 1, pick 3 and waite for judd!! there is absolutely zero chance of this happening. that is the worst one i have seen yet
i dont think he will go to carlton. i reckon it will be collingwood. they will work some deal. i dont think it will be as simple as a striaght swap between two clubs.

Understand one thing. Carlton has no obligation to trade. To think that we'll offer pick 3 + Fev for Judd is ridiculous. As good as Judd might be, no player is worth the best FF in the comp when fit (newsflash - Fev, like Judd has been playing with injury) and an elite young talent.
KP forwards don't grow on trees - much less ones as talented as Brendan. Judd will be part of a midfield rotation - admittedly, a very important part, but one forward is much harder to replace than one midfielder. As good as Judd is, it mightn't be worth losing Fev for - we undoubtedly get a better player, but hurt our structure in the process.
Our forward line is currently our only strong position. Why make our forward line a weakness to improve our midfield?
Anyway, we get Stevens back next year - which will be a big help. If we manage to get Judd on top of that, without having to get rid of Fev, then fantastic. If not, no big deal, we'll just go back to salivating over picks 1 and 3.

Woosha obviously wouldn't show all his cards yet before trade week. If he said that deal was good, then there wouldn't be any chance of getting a better deal because they would know that the eagles would be willing to accept that deal.
I wonder what would happen if we didn't get a reasonable offer from anyone during trade week...

The key here is how much Woosha wants Morton. He'll need at least pick 3 for him or we'll take him for ourselves. If he gets pick 2 from Richmond then we pick up Cotchin at 3. Either way we're happy.
If we get to keep Kennedy then we're as happy as we were last week. At 6'6" and 100kg and 20yoa, I'm confident he'll be a key to the future success of the club.
Judd may not play the first half of next season meaning you could only have 5 1/2 years out of him if his hip/groin deteriorates. Compare that to 10 years of Kennedy and 12 years of Morton.

If I was Swann, I wouldn't be interested in a Dutch auction. I'd put up an offer we were happy to pay and give it a 24 hour shelf life. After that it gets taken from the table and and last minute negotiations will be reduced.
Otherwise this BS back and forth disrupts the entire team and possibilities of making other trades.

If Judd picks a team, competition doesn't come into it
It will probably turn out like the G-Train trade. he could have gone into the pre-season draft, but he insisted they hold out until the club got at least a decent value for him, even though he wanted to go back, he still wanted to make sure the club wasn't screwed.
Judd will tell westocast which team he wants to play for and west coast will deal with that club. That is what has to be done.
Judd will be looking to see what a club can offer him over the next 5 years (blues can make it in two) and what that club can offer him, his girlfriend and family after his footy is over, calrton are not only the best club to offer him a SERIOUS offer on this, but the only offer. Carlton has the best recruit in the last twelve months already at their club in Dick Pratt.

West Coast will choose where he goes, Judd has already publicly stated that he wants West Coast to be compensated fairly.
Secondly all this talk about Collingwood is rubbish! Isn't it funny that whenever a massive player is available for trade Collingwood is always "thier preffered destination", and yet not a big name is to be traded there since Buckley.
The truth is Collingwood is only mentioned cause thier supporter base is so large and can therefore start large rumour mills on sites such as this one, where they out number every other club.
Collingwood are not silly enough to trade away any of thier young guns just as Hawthorn isn't willing to trade Buddy.

pic 3 and Kennedy or Bower is the most we are prepared to offer ...even losing Kennedy is taking a huge risk .
If you can find a better deal at another club then go for it .....we will pick up 2 potential guns in the draft anyway .
