Pick 30

Type of player is he?

Any chance he can get to our next pick at 62 if we are keen?
188cm 80KGish half back/back pocket nuggety type of kid with good skills

Had a growth spurt start of this year that got him in the frame of selection, and no cant see him making it to 62 second or third round

Story reported in the HSun the other week was that when interviewed at the DC by Hine and co. Dare was asked what he thought about Collingwood. His response was something along the lines of "You either love them or hate them. I barrack for Essendon so I think you know where I stand there". Fairly ballsy comments from a potential draftee. He is probably a shoe in for us though as we only seem to recruit Essendon supporters as of late.

Although Opti I would have to disagree with you on the nuggety call. From the photos I have seen he appears more light and rangy rather than nuggety. Also at 188cm he is not really tall enough for KPD and would likely play that third mid sized defenders role. Do we really need another one of these with Harry, Maxwell and the Sack already on the list.

Although he did win the Falcons B&F this year in a team consisting of Cunnington and McMillan-Pittard so he must be a fairly decent type. I think I would prefer others at 30 but I trust Hine to make the right call and if it is Dare at 30 then so be it.

I meant nuggety in more the game style version, no backward step style of play.

I agree on the how many flankers do we need, but Taylor is a flanker and Thomas could be gone before we get there. Also dare was a mid before his growth spurt and at 188 is still decent afl mid size now

Also lol on his I hate collingwood comment, clearly has a set

i would love luke ball at 30 and josh thomas as my second option.

But i have a snaeky feeling that Brisbane will take Thomas if essendon take ball.

If a player like Griffiths is available, which could potentially happen, we should swoop.

We need to add another big forward to our list.

Ball looks unlikely now with McPhee leaving. I think Ball will be gone so I'd go for Thomas, but otherwise like Didaka I'd go for a tall.

The benefit of Thomas besides his personal reputation is the Beam's connection. Be good to keep that lad happy.
