Probably something that is given too much attention, although always something that would scare a team when giving up a high draft pick.

If it affects the clubs thinking when picking between Jimmy and Ollie or not we will only find out tomorrow

Well considering we lost our one legitimate superstar of the last decade to the GHF it's a valid concern. That being said, a decent portion of our talent is from interstate (Clark, Hogan, Trengove, Tappy etc) so hopefully we back ourselves in here. I honestly wouldn't mind if Toumpas is off the board so we have no decision to make.

Yes I know mate... I feel that Port are one of the few clubs we can actually hang shit on without sounding completely ridiculous haha. Still not a great idea when you go for the MFC though.

That being said, a decent portion of our talent is from interstate (Clark, Hogan, Trengove, Tappy etc) so hopefully we back ourselves in here. I honestly wouldn't mind if Toumpas is off the board so we have no decision to make.

True but that's one player in the last decade... or two if you go Thompson and Farmer, but they were a while ago. Like you say we have a decent portion from outside of Vic and they have shown tremendous commitment to the club going forward so I don't think the GHF will be a concern. If Toumpas is there we will select him IMO.

I, like many before me, have been sucked into wanting Wines because of the 'fairytale' finish it would provide, as it were written up in the papers etc. So, basically on account of that, I want Wines. But I've been hearing so much about Toumpas, and the fact alone that the majority here seem to prefer him without too many questions being asked, I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that he must be much better than Wines. A much better prospect for the future. But even in saying that, I personally haven't seen that much of him too know. I looked on youtube, and they both appear to be really good blokes/players. I honestly cannot tell one better then the other. So, if anyone has footage that can show me in further detail the potential of Toumpas, that would be much appreciated. Because right now, I'm clueless. I just know that either of the two would be great (apparently) xD

I'd hope Trenners and Tappy might take him in if he were to come. Still think he'll go pick 2.

I don't actually reckon Toumpas is better than Wines. Players ranked 2 to about 6 or 7 in this draft are all about equal. Toumpas is quicker with better skills, Wines is harder and tougher and has a better defensive side to his game. Depends what the club want. Tough decision.

Toumpas if he's there. I'm a sucker for romance in footy but it's been a bit of a stir-up by the meedja. Viney said he'd love us to draft Jimmy and of course Wines would like to play alongside his mate at his childhood club, but who wouldn't? He'll be right anywhere.
Also, Toumpas won't go past the Dogs if we were to pass, while Wines could fall as far as 11. I had Jimmy as a cert number 2.
Can't go past his skill, pace and composure for our midfield.
Either way though I'm happy. I keep having cold flashes that we'll pick Kamdyn McIntosh at 4 and I have to remind myself we don't employ Prendergast anymore...

Been watching as many highlight packages from both players. My gut feel is that we'll take Toumpas as he seems a little more outside than Wines with slightly better skills which is I think what we need a bit more.

If we took Wines I'd be equally as happy though. It's win win IMO

Wouldn't say it's all that interesting - everyone has been pumping up the Wines/Viney show for weeks. Wasn't until the last few days that it changed with the news GWS was going to select O'Rourke and Plowman.
