Was this the first post that brought the Crom driven garbage to our page? Makes it easier to investigate if it was.Anyone know if there is any truth to this rumour?

Jonas was our best one on one defender for several years. Brave, committed, team focussed & always punching above his height. Late in his career he lost so much pace & then subsequently form & thats when he copped the criticism. We had a contested and hard ball captain in Jonas but everyone shat on him because he lacked skill and talent. I guess Butters is that rare breed where he is good in both areas but generally most players are more one or the other.
He doesn’t play? “Softest captain ever” “Doesn’t give a rats about his club”If Connor is sick and injured then he shouldn't be playing dead rubber games. More Ken's fault than his, to be fair to him.
Who’s going to do that?Remove from the captaincy immediately. Soft.
If Carr can't make this simple decision then get ready for more of this tripe in 2026.Who’s going to do that?
His mate Carr?
He’s captain for some time so we better get used to it.
I think there should be a balance with work life. Especially with the high demands of an elite athlete in the system.I'm so glad Trav has given Connor pointers about being a person before a footballer.
Whilst true. Doesn't seem to burn out Butters where footy is his life. But not everyone is like Butters. He bleeds footy.I think there should be a balance with work life. Especially with the high demands of an elite athlete in the system.
Being a footballer is only a blip of time in your life. However, when you’re out on game day, you should be giving your all.
it would burn you out being so consumed in your job.
Does it have to be cornerstone of every interview, article, press conference though? It's lame in a professional sporting environment where a lot of people are invested in results and success. Live your life the way you want to, no qualms there. I couldn't give two hoots what you do off field. On field, I want success and I want players that will do everything for their club, jumper and supporters to get that success and that means flags. I want that to come across when they speak.Whilst true. Doesn't seem to burn out Butters where footy is his life. But not everyone is like Butters. He bleeds footy.
But majority of people in general aren't going to have their job be their sole purpose in life and make them what and who they are. That's where what Boak says makes sense in most cases.
I definitely agree with on field and just anything to do with the club and team and footy itself. That includes interviews, press conference and all other things. Outside of that though is their time. I believe that being in a different time with society now, these players get coached differently with how to present themselves and talk etc.. specified roles like leadership and captains. Depends on who is teaching and coaching that though.. It's not a Warrior mindset or mentality like it once was as much as I'd personally want it to be. I'd hope whilst there's mutual respect or just respect for opponents and opposition clubs but once your on the field and even just before entering, so the build up to it, there is no nice shit and just we are here to win and smash them. Some players still have that attitude. That's why Rozee cops a lot, too nice on and off field and that could be his personality but also those teaching/coaching him. To be honest, I saw too nice with Hornet in the 1st round against Collingwood where he was laughing during the game at Bobby Hill.. was something bobby did in 1st quarter at the boundary line. Now I believe they are both friends but when you're on the field, you shouldn't be "friends" any more like that.Does it have to be cornerstone of every interview, article, press conference though? I feel like we've turned into a kindergarten. Wer'e a football club for heavens sake. What is going on down there. It's unbelievable the tripe they speak.I'm so glad Trav has given Connor pointers about being a person before a footballer.
Made me want Butters as captain as it fell out of his mouth.I'm so glad Trav has given Connor pointers about being a person before a footballer.
