35 disposals, 1 goal, 9 clearances, 11 inside 50s, 7 tackles against the crows in the sanfl. Dominated for Port against an opponent that has rag-dolled us for a few years now.

Should be picked as a mid and played in all the remaining games.

He still looks skinny but his core strength is good, he seems to twist out of tackles well. And catches players out on his left foot.

Yep. Has to be in the side for the rest of the year

That is a huge game from a second year stringbean kid. He’s got something , and if we want to see how good that something will be we need to develop him.

Play him as a sub. Keep Mead/Mcentee (insert spud here) in the team and bring him on for the last 5 minutes, then drop him as he only has 2 touches while the spuds in the team ahead of him have 5 for the whole game.

Could not have said that any better my friend

Wow amazing plan, would you like to coach us for 13 years?

Geez he started well. Endurance flagged along with his teammates after we spent the middle two quarters chasing Cats tails. A couple of loopy passes late that gave the opposition mark of the year opportunities. Nevertheless, he can play. Need to get games into him. Would really have liked Lorenz and Jackson to be backed in as wingmen earlier in the year when JHF, Bergman and Butters were playing in the centre square together. We’ve wasted games on Boak and Mead in those positions and to some extent Liddy.

Not sure about Jackson on a wing but certainly should be starting on the ground in the midfield rotation

Weird hill for the club to die on when they said Lorenz needed to improve the defensive side of his game, when players are getting games every week offering little both ways.

Absolutely criminal that Lorenz has not played at least 12 games this season.

While we get to see the corpse of Boak run around and Mead being a plodder week after week.

First thing Carr should do for next year is tell Lorenz that the wing is his for the whole season.

We can do a bit right in these last three weeks by just getting minutes into Lorenz, Jackson, Whitlock and Berry. I’d get Lai and Ramm exposed to. Three more 75+ point losses may well happen regardless of who lines up for us. Now more than ever is the time for Carr to put his foot down and sow some seeds for next year.

One more year?
If we're getting rid of Jackson, then Lorenz should be gone. Did more harm than good in the last few weeks with nothing performances and a complete lack of ability - no power, no speed, no distance in his kicking and no tank/size.

The lack of tank/size is a huge indictment on our fitness staff, because we've seen far too many players have the same issue (including Jackson himself)

The fact he kept getting games though is the only glimmer of hope for him.

Lorenz on Josh Carr’s feedback
“The main thing for me was just putting on a bit of size and (working on) my speed, that sort of area, just trying to get a bit quicker. So, if that helps me play a bit more inside mid then that'd be good.”

Lorenz on how he’s improving himself
“I wasn't (much of a gym-goer) when I came here, but I'm starting to get into a little bit. I’ve put on, since the end of season, probably six kilos. I’ve just been eating and being a gym rat really! Yeah, it's definitely tough (balancing putting on size with improving running). Obviously putting on weight, you're going to be heavier, and it tends to mean that you're going to be a bit slower. But I worked with a sprint coach back in Melbourne, so I think that's put in good stead for this year.

6kg's, decent.
