I have difficulty backing any medical opinion coming out of Collingwood these days.
I'm assuming we'd have consulted the specialists so it wouldn't be a solely internal opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very nervous too. And I would have loved Fogarty. I just feel that if he's been declared good to go Stephenson is a perfect fit.

This is my worry too.
I really like the look of the kid and if we pick him the club will assure us that he is ok, but my faith in the club when it comes to things like this isn't exactly high.

Are we there yet????

On Fogarty, when I watch his highlights, as a forward I don't get very excited. He doesn't seem to find space on the lead. You don't see him marking it a lot. He doesn't seem to crumb goals. He attacks the footy on the ground, fights hard, great sidestep which is good. But he doesn't seem to have a lot of avenues to goal and doesn't seem to play tall. But perhaps that's the danger of highlights videos?

What are your thoughts on Fogarty the forward Snoop Dog Knightmare Pie 4 Life campbell023?

P.S. really like the look of him as a third tall in defence and in the midfield but that's not where people want him to play for us.

The highlights of Fogarty without looking them up will surely be of the u18 championships. If so, you would be right to observe he played his best footy down back.

Up forward, he was immobile (due to injury), unable to create separation or cover much ground. So he did pretty much nothing.

When healthy, I most like Fogarty as a big bodied midfielder, but he's also a very capable forward.

He's another Jake Stringer in terms of what he can do at his best (just without the issues off-field).

Do we know the specific heart condition?
Don't think it's been reported but the clubs seem to be more worried about the psychological and emotional issues that might come with it... SEN just said thousands of athletes around the world have the same condition and it doesn't stop them being elite

AFL draft prospect Jaidyn Stephenson shouldn’t be overlooked due to heart condition, says manager

While Stephenson, 18, could still be taken with a prized selection, his draft ranking is suddenly unclear.

Stephenson was best-afield in the AFL Grand Final curtain-raiser and booted five goals from 28 disposals as Vic Metro smashed South Australia on Etihad Stadium this year.

The speedster’s manager, Robbie D’Orazio, said he was at “no more risk than any other player” in this year’s draft.

Under-18 All-Australian Jaidyn Stephenson and sister, national under-17 netballer, Tegan.

“We’ve left this to the medical experts, and the doctors that Jaidyn’s been working with on this have said there is no issue,” D’Orazio said.

“Whatever club picks Jaidyn will have a player that will play for a long time. He’s an outstanding character and winner of the AFL Life Members Scholarship.

“The clubs that don’t pick him because of this will regret it, because he’s going to play for a long time.”

Champion Data ranks the X-factor player No.3 in this year’s draft, ahead of dux fancies Luke Davies-Uniacke and Paddy Dow.

I've decided I want the club to go for Fogarty. Can't believe I'm nervous about this lol.

Personally whilst he has a similar body and combative nature, I think he lacks the explosiveness of Stringer.
