The last time Hine managed this was in 2008- Steele Sodebottom at pick 11.

He's burnt every top 10 pick we've held since then be it in a trade or wrong players chosen in draft.
Would you back him to have picked Daniel Rioli 2015 and Powell-Pepper 2016, both around the mark, or would you sit on Treloar and Sier? :D

Sit: Treloar Sier

Bet: Rioli Powell-Pepper

Naughton make the Most Sense as he Fits Need and Rating him.

Question is do you think his Disposal will get better or not

Want Fogarty, but understand if they go Naughton.

If they reach for a much lower rated player, added to the Sam Murray fiasco, I'll be filthy.

I would not put that past Hine and Collingwood at all

Rayner is Kirby territory fit.

There was a story in the weekend papers that said that an un-named Swans recruiting staff member said there were mitigations specific to Raynor's time trial results insomuch as he'd been recovering from injury post season and hadn't been able to do any maintenance training. I don't know enough about Raynor to know what if any validity can be attributed to the statement, or what level of improvement to his time is likely if he hadn't had any injury concerns, but I did think it was interesting.

We need Fogarty to go top 5 so Cerra or Brayshaw is there at pick 6. And are we completely sure Freo won't go Naughton?

I think we are 90-95% Sure that Freo won't go on Naughton and IF They do we just take the Mid that was not Taken by Freo

I've decided I'll be shattered if we get Naughton. So many people rating him around 15, I'll feel ripped off if we take him at 6.
I'm of the same feeling. Six is the cursed pick though! Bound to take a bolter (ish) who will end up flopping

Like Pie 4 Life says, you wouldn't be drafting Naughton at pick 6 as best available, but rather as a list need. Its the not the most inspiring choice in my opinion, but given the state of our KPDs I can accept going that way.

We just have to be prepared to be burned by Fogarty (or anyone else) going on and becoming a star and the exact sort of player that we needed.

Yeah I understand the concept of want vs need etc. but I think you'd definitely set sights on a KPP for our second pick, ala McLarty last year.

I can't believe how bloody excited I am for this Friday night.

Oh yeah agreed 100%. I was just saying even if he wouldn't be my choice for pick 6 I wouldn't be shattered like were :p

I can't wait either. A full day watching cricket. Picking up fish and chips for tea. Then settling in to watch the draft. Its going to be a great day!

Mate that’s some A+ spin right there! As others have said there’s about 4 moves within that range that we’ve nailed in the past five years.

If you want to be critical of Hine be my guest, but I think we should at least make it fair and accurate by focusing on the area he bombed in, list management.

The only players I'd be excited about getting at 6 would be one of Rayner/LDU/Cerra/Stephenson.Fogarty will not go top 5, probably makes it to the crows. It's a really shit draft to have pick 6 and nothing until 38.

So we have Fogarty who hasn't convinced me whatsoever, seems like a very poor mans Dusty minus the speed, yet many people are treating like the second coming of Christ. Bonar has done two knees already, pass. Brander, inconsistent and a real nothing year.

For mine you take Coffield/Stephenson Naughton at 6 if none of the top 5 drift.

Very much hoping for Cerra.

What would be available in the KP stakes at 38? I like the look of Bolta notwithstanding the knob assertions. Hopefully we paid Alan Didak and Dane Swan to take him to Peppermint Hippopotamus before the draft to spook opposition scouts.

Balta will be an interesting one come Friday for sure. Plenty like Petty who was All-Aus KPD and leading in the intercept stats. Doubtul he'll get to 38 though.

Clavarino from Vic another KPD around the range. Very strong leadership but perhaps lacking in pace and skill to a degree. More likely for 38

And Butts from up Murray way, who was initially rated/expected to go lower down but a few teams sniffing around so he might jump up in calculations. Can play at either end too
