He is progressing well, adding a little bit of offensive footy to go with his defensive work. Hopefully he will be given plenty of time to develop his game at VFL level before getting a senior gig, unlike his brother who has had to learn on the job & has probably suffered a bit because of this.

How’s Ben been doing last few weeks? Haven’t seen him listed in the bests.

But today’s AFL article on Jack has Jack really building him up which usually he would be modest about. Jack seems sure that Ben gets to debut next season. Will be interesting to see in which position and who would make way for him (would have to be through injury you would imagine).

Jamarra held quiet by former Blue

The Northern Bullants put up a strong fight against Footscray, but were ultimately outgunned on Saturday.

Dominic Bedendo booted three, Cody Weightman was lively with 2.4 and Mitch Wallis found 28 disposals.

Number one pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan however was held to just one goal and 10 disposals by former Carlton defender Ben Silvagni.

The Bullants clearly had a plan for him, sitting defenders in front of him, while Silvagni held his own all afternoon.

He was playing for the Northern Bullants iirc, so this must be his first season there.
Yes, it’s his first year there. Played 2021 and the first few games last year for Preston, his first month last year being pretty impressive before just walking out mysteriously. Enjoyed having a SOS to go for in both my AFL and VFL sides while it lasted. Oh well. Definitely talented.
