Stewie Lowe bucket hands on the lad help his cause
He's a monster of a kid, Seen him live for the NB's a few times and got too see him do some very impressive things that you don't see many kids his age, height & experience capable of doing.
Has a hunger for the contest with and without the ball chases and hunts, has a wonderful leap on him can get up high and take a hanger on opposition with strong hands good timing and judgment.
Ruck work is a work in progress you can see he has the tools to put the ball in good spots on occasion, but is up against it playing against very seasoned ruckman who have many years on him.
Important year for him in terms of staying on the park and not missing any large chunks with injury, every game he plays with NB's is very important for his all round development...

If he comes good then that's huge for you guys I think. Like I said I thought a long term ruck was your biggest need in terms of where your list will be at in a couple of years. Out of interest are you guys always so positive to outsiders as you have been to my posts. Most times even if you have a decent post you just get narky responses simply because, well I dont know you just do. Its actually been very worthwhile to be honest. I play in very strong afl fantasy league and ive just learnt who my cheap first bench ruck will be. Thanks.

Happy to listen to logic any time, unless you are an * supporter...

Only coming up to my first year officially on here and watched for previous year before that so i haven't been around very long but what I've seen from the large majority of posters are pretty respectful with the thoughts and opinions of anyone who comes over with something to share, obviously as long as it's not to ridiculous.
As far as having him in your fantasy team, there might be other ruckman who might be more value to you by getting more game time not to say DeKoning isn't worth the selection talent wise more that he's probably not going to get to play as much being behind Kruezer and Pittonett atm...

I don't see it with Serong. Intelligent player, strong for his size, but doesn't break lines or break stoppages convincingly.

He’s an interesting player Serong. I watched a few highlights and I was expecting to see someone who was a quicker small midfielder with a bit more ball carry.

Instead Serong looks like a small strongly built clearance contested ball player that wins the ball and gives the first option. Doesn’t look to break away with ball in hand.

Based on the highlights l saw, which were only as a midfielder, l wasn’t that keen for our needs.

The question then is, how good is he as a small forward. If he’s a terrific small forward who can run through the midfield that changes the equation. Becomes a little papley like.

I kept seeing a little Toby Greene about him.

I personally couldn't take Ash there, but it is eminently feasible and arguable.

It is so evenish and in the eye of the beholder between 3 and about 13. 9 is a lovely pick to have. There will be a suitable player there for us under any circumstance.
Who would you take there given the choice Terry?

Kemp or Gould for me

I agree with this. A lot of pressure on picks 3,4,5 and probably not much advantage in having them.

This is the sort of draft where a club picking in that range will be criticized years down the line for overlooking a particular player.

Given who was still there, i probably would take Robertson with Kemp and Dylan Williams right in there too B_T.

Nothing wrong with Ash, and i like Gould also but not quite at 9 for those general defenders.

Can’t disagree with Robertson or Williams (especially) either.

I like Ash too, but I just prefer Gould’s kicking over Ash’s leg speed.

Defensively i feel Gould has Ash covered, and if I’m a forward I just couldn’t shake the thought of Gould putting a knee through me. He is going to hurt a lot of players.

Agree. I have Gould just ahead of Ashe slightly beyond 9. About 13 and 15. But geez it's tight. Just eye of the beholder stuff.

But in saying that, gimme Ash's leg speed into our squad and i won't be complaining much. And he probably is going Top 10 on the night. But we;ll see as it will be interesting and maybe a bit surprising.
