And Newnes. Reckon he'd be a good get.True getting Martin for nothing certainty helps. Gives another opportunity to get a young gun.

One more year to get another young elite kid through the draft. Then you'll see all the other players nominate to come to us. We're getting really close to getting an elite young team.Because we had the explicit primary aim of using this pick to land an established top end player to complement our talented but young list. Would like to see us load up on 2020 currency to maximise the chance of this happening next year.

Let’s hope they don’t achieve this then. Save us dropping to 10th pick.Yeah, it’s been reported that they are looking at trading pick 6 and future first for pick 3 from Melbourne to avoid this scenario.

Well no, we won’t get Green but we don’t slide down a spot either. We're not getting Green whichever way you cut it, so whether our pick is #9 or #10 makes absolutely no difference.
42no question
We domt need a wingman what so ever. Obrien fisher cuningham amd martin will play thr wing... we shoulf actually draft a half back flanker because stocker playing middle pmakes more sense when simpson goes i think murph wont be far offWeightman, but not at 9 @14-19 after switching out 9 for 2 picks.
Small forwards tend to go lower in the draft than mids and kpp.
It will be very interesting to see what we do with this pick:
- Keep it;
- Split it; or
- Engineer a trade, effectively doing a reverse-Adelaide
If we do keep it, we must go with best available talent, as long as that talent is under 190cm.
Not seen any either as had no interest until realised we still had an earlish pick, we did not expect to still have.Really have to watch some footage over the next few weeks. Literally have no idea.
If he there at pick 9 we probably have to take him because if he was not injured he a top three pick normally. What about Kemp 193cm big bodied midfielder that can also play forward?
Already have setterfield its point less and walsh isnt short will be too slow of a midfield pace pace paceWhat about Kemp 193cm big bodied midfielder that can also play forward?
Thats litterally will setterfield all over againBrodie Kemp for me. The kid is the definition of utility. Can play all over the ground and has a great turn of foot. Is seen as a big-upside pick who probably falls to us because of the ACL. Worth a risk/reward type selection.
no answerno question
Most good small forapwarss you can get lateish anywaySplit pick 9.
Bring in a small fwd and a midfielder.
I’m a little baffled by all of this talk about moving pick 9 to trade into the first round of 2020.
Everything I’m reading and hearing from the experts advises that next years draft is heavily compromised (18/ top 40 kids have academy ties).
So given this:
1. What would be the appeal for us to have 2 first round picks in this draft?
2. Wouldn’t the above lower the value of our 2 first round pick offer if we were to move it on to other clubs for a star (i.e Wines etc)?
Its unessesary. You can strade picks next year to move up the draft lol1. Trade value
2. Well, it's not about value, it's about position. We position ourselves to be able to offer a lot to acquire said star. Remember Tim Kelly went for 2ish first rounders + upgrade in a fairly meh draft
I’d be happy with two of him.Thats litterally will setterfield all over again
