Wouldn’t mind an aggressive midfielder who tackles with intent. I’ve heard Robertson may be that player

Can you describe him for me?not yet![]()
Can you describe him for me?
Who’s he play like?
I don't think it really matters. It more the fact that he's seen as a bargain who would've been a top 5 pick if he had an unbroken ACL.Just out of curiosity and not saying Kemp is a bad player as i do like him and tigers have no chance to get him but
How many here would be wanting him if he was 185cm tall rather than 192cm ?
Well i do have my eyes on Cooper stephens at pick #19 (bargain)I don't think it really matters. It more the fact that he's seen as a bargain who would've been a top 5 pick if he had an unbroken ACL.
Everyone loves a bargain.
Work with me here.
As at Round 1 2020
Cripps - 25yo
Setterfield - 22yo
Kemp - 18yo
In 2020 - Kemp is still rehabbing his ACL, and returns through the VFL very late in the season.
In 2021 - Kemp continues to develop through the VFL, potentially getting opportunities in the seniors when injury allows.
In 2022 - Kemp transitions to the senior side, playing as a taller utility (can play down back, up forward, and rotate through the midfield).
In 2023 - Cripps is 28 and probably spending longer stints in the forward line, Setterfield is 25 and the new Cripps/Bont hybrid, and Kemp shifts to a more midfield-heavy role.
A lot can change in 4 years, and players do get injured. I don't think a third elite "tall mid" is an issue, if anything, the spread of ages probably makes it a smart move either this season or next.
That being said, plenty hinges on who else is available and what trade options we have. There are certainly other areas of need that could be addressed first, but we don't want to be reaching too far for a certain type, and there may not be a conveniently positioned club open to trading with us to split our pick.
I like what your saying and I'm a massive fan of Kemp but in your plan where do you see Curnow, Kennedy and JSOS?
Robertson is among the large group of top-rated players to have finished their season on the sidelines, having had shoulder surgery after his starring role at the carnival for Western Australia. Robertson averaged 30 disposals and nearly five clearances during the championships to claim the Larke Medal as the best player in division one, and was also named captain of the All Australian side. An in-and-under player who knows how to find the ball and has an uncompromising streak.
Feel free to trade us pick 19 like you did for Cuningham.Well i do have my eyes on Cooper stephens at pick #19 (bargain)

Im still concerned about using a high pick on a kid who has just done his knee, Doc coming off two in a row, Kruz being cut down by injuries, Charlie with knee issues, doesn't make me want to add another.
Too much risk.
That is a fair enough view.
I would not be upset if we decided it was too much risk AND I would also be happy if we were brave and took the punt with such a long term bargain if he still there at pick 9.
I do not think he will be so doubt you have to worry we taking the risk you see there.
Agree with you and I’d select Liam Henry at pick 9 if available and possible, he's blessed with pace, applies pressure and has a bag of tricks, just what we need we X factor.I actually do not expect Kemp to still be there at 9.
Hope he is but doubt he will be.
Elite small forward or midfielder with that pick is what I look forward to given I doubt the bargain of Kemp will slip to us.
2020 2nd rounder + 3rd rounderFeel free to trade us pick 19 like you did for Cuningham.
Pick 19 for pick 40ish and 70ish is fine by me.
You'll get more games from that in future than Yazz played.
Nah, we are not in position to delay getting youngsters in. Unlike Justin Reid that thought he was last year giving away pick 19. lol bloody idiot but glad he exists. Man, I loved that. Two clubs gifted us a pick 19 just when we needed them. Not sure the same dumb list managers out there but North have me wondering.2020 2nd rounder + 3rd rounder![]()
When Hughes and Rogers were around they invented ways to get us disappointed.I think it's great that there's 5 or 6 names I'd be ok with the club reading out at pick 9, makes it pretty hard to be disappointed!!!
