Never seemed to hinder Hawthorn in the mid teens. Let’s not overthink it. We just need players who can hit a target regardless of which peg is delivering it.
Yeah cause they had Hill on the right and Smith on the left which gave them balance

matthew, can you find me some serong footage please? I couldn't see any in the video thread.....hope to see you back on your feet and back at school soonIs Young's kicking as good as it looks in the highlights? Ie '**** me, that was classy' levels...
I'll be happy if we can get both, Taheny and Taylor.Yeah not sure on Taheny I think Taylor has more talent but then again Taheny is probably the safer bet in terms of being ready for AFL as Taylor has question marks on his commitment.

I think Young would be an outstanding get, and would be expected to slot seamlessly into the half back line in two years when SPS transitions into a full time mid role.
NOW:
HB: SPS, Marchbank, Docherty
C: Walsh, Curnow, Setterfield
R: Kreuzer, Cripps, Murphy
SOON:
HB: Young, Marchbank, Docherty
C: Walsh, Stocker, Setterfield
R: TDK, Cripps, SPS

Not sure Crows can afford to keep moving picks into future years. If Melbourne, GWS and Sydney are all to stupid to not pick up Young then we should trade with Adelaide to swap pick 9 for pick 6. Freo will 100% take Young he is the type of player they need.
Adelaide trade picks 6, 23,45 and our future 4th for pick 9 and our future 1st.
Adelaide then have 3 first round picks next year and can still pick up McAsey.
We can pick up Young (6), De Koning (23) and with 43 and 45 get the best 2 small forwards at those picks hopefully Taylor and Taheny
This gives us Simpson replacement, 2x De Koning to take over from Kreuzer and give us 2 small forwards to lean from Betts.

Class of 2019: Caleb Serong
The likely top-10 pick has traits similar to Port Adelaide star Robbie Graywww.afl.com.au
His highlights are as much of him tackling as they are of him getting the ball.
He averaged 8.5 tackles a game at the champs!!! (IIRC)
He's an aggressive, competitive little bugger.
Swans should take him at 5 to get ready to trade us Papley next year. He would be good long term replacement for Papley to their playing stocks.
If we pick Serong while Stephens or Young are still on the board I'll be disappointed, but not full melt levels of upset. Serong is a fine selection and it's hard to see him being a bad AFL player, but I just think there are prospects at our pick that are much more likely to be good or great AFL players.Am I right in assuming there will be meltdowns on this board tomorrow night, no matter whom we take at pick 9 ?
I am Caleb Serong fan, but for some reason,i feel like there will be a few unhappy campers if we pick him up. Thing is, I don't think we can go wrong with a player of his characteristics and competitiveness, and he just seems like the best fit for us and our current list demographic. But I am not a massive or avid draft class watcher like many of the other learned contributers on this forum.
Absolutely! I've heard some real dreaming ideas of what some have been thinking, which only brings along others for ride of unrealistic expectations what likely left at pick 9 or what likely can get with later picks in a live trade scenario.Am I right in assuming there will be meltdowns on this board tomorrow night, no matter whom we take at pick 9 ?
Maybe, but to me it is around the mark of draft where Serong likely to go. Fremantle will probably grab him if Swans do not.I think they will go Flanders instead...
Also fits that fwd/mid combo.
suckling level?I think it was Knightmare who stated Young's weakness is being too accountable? He's a guy who should be taken regardless of need. Throw the magnets around or develop his midfield craft. That kicking is absolutely game changing.
Pointless......I will be.....’shattered’Also, if we pick Serong over Stephens, I am preparing for some stained glass windows1...
YesIs Young's kicking as good as it looks in the highlights? Ie '**** me, that was classy' levels...
