Can't see it. We would have to give up a lot to make the jump, I don't think it's worth it for us.

Watching some more footage of him (Serong), I do really worry about his field kicking.

Set shots, no issue. But hitting a teammate in general play seems to be somewhat challenging for him. It's something that really elevates the elite small forwards - Cameron, Betts, Papley, Gray, Greene, Rioli, Tipungwuti etc. - they hit the scoreboard, but they also spot up teammates in good positions.

Stephens and Young show up to have more potential upside than Serong, but if we can make Serong the player we want him to be for us, then that's perfectly fine

I won't say he's exactly what we need as here seem to be a few gaps in his game, but if we do take him, we should be confident in getting his body into the shape we want and his game into the one we want. I don't think either would be too hard to complete, given the character.

If we do take Serong, he'll start round 1 and probably play more games than maybe we expected he would.

Serong looks like Dion Prestia with a forward game. Reminds me a little of Gresham but is a lot stronger build.

Serongs kicking action reminded me of hodge’s. Looks ok but appears little bit time consuming the way he puts ball to feet.

I would prefer we use pick 9 on a bull-like midfielder or a small forward. Other than that pick best available.

The likely top-10 pick has traits similar to Port Adelaide star Robbie Gray

His highlights are as much of him tackling as they are of him getting the ball.

He averaged 8.5 tackles a game at the champs!!! (IIRC)

He's an aggressive, competitive little bugger.

Kicking would have to be the most over-scrutinised aspect in football, especially for mids.

Dangerfield and Fyfe are not good kicks, not even close. Dangerfield in particular is a pretty terrible kick. But they make up for it with a host of other assets that contribute to dominating/winning football games.

Paddy Dow's kicking is an issue at the moment, but wouldn't be so much if he cleaned up his defensive running, built his tank and chased properly. It wouldn't be a factor attached to a more rounded game.

Serong has a VERY well-rounded game (tackling, finding the ball, aerial ability).

Like Dow? I hate when the attribute to fix is kicking, especially on a top 10 pick.
