Doing my best to apply jumper leads to the comatose forum that Ozzult is bitching about, lets talk about, umm...
Jeremy Humm.
Where's the Humminator going to fit in in 2003? From what we saw of him in 2002, he appears to have experienced measured, if not spectacular, improvement since last year. Without a doubt, his most promising attribute is his courage, strong tackling and willingness to put his body on the line. Despite playing only four games during the regular season, Humm got a guernsey for our first finals match, something which is probably in itself a sign of how highly Worsfold thinks of him. Humm didn’t disappoint, playing the best game of his short career vs Essendon, kicking his first ever AFL goal, and also laying a team high 7 tackles for the day.
I rate Humm, he's a good player, but in the short term I tend to see him as an understudy for Phil Read- he's got some pace, is a tenacious tackler, and rarely loses his man, making him a decent option in the back pocket.
