You need to dismantle b crouch m crouch b Gibbs greenwood etc as well as Sloane get the point lol 😀
Interesting, as most of these guys have been huge in at least two of your losses to date.

It would seem most clubs are not particularly worried about them getting a heap of the ball, instead choosing to clamp down on other areas.

I know u guys don’t want believe it but we will move up ladder and by round 22 there will be a big differential in ladder position. I predict pick 1 - 4 being generous for pick 10 - 12 plus 19 stocker ( pick 6 on your board )

Statistically the Crouch brothers look good but they seem to lack impact, Gibbs is playing like he's a double agent, and Greenwood is blue ribbon potato.

And none of them inspire your side lkke Sloane. You curb Sloanes influence and you rip the heart out of Adelaide's midfield and theyll meander about like a rudder-less ship.

Shhhhh...they might figure out their shortcomings. We can’t have that.
Everytime one of their supporters wander in here, making another prediction, the exact opposite transpires

Love that this thread is open to all and sundry

Not so much, no. lol

Allow me to indulge you with a brief history lesson.

Once we were able to host upstarts like Adelaide at our traditional home, Princes Park. Now, that was a home ground advantage. As footy became a big business rather than just a sport, Princes Park was phased out and eventually we were forced to abandon it as an official AFL venue - and I mean forced.

Now it's either Docklands or the MCG, which we share with the other Melbourne teams. Neither are really our ground. Certainly we have no traditional ties with them - apart from winning 16 flags on the G. That was a nice tradition!
The interstate teams have to play at each of those venues at least 3-5 times a year. Almost like a second home for them - or should be by now.

What most people forget in this trade is that last year's draft was far superior to the talent in this year's pool. Just look at Bailey Smith this season and how he has competed at pick 7. I watched him stiff arm Paddy Dow on the weekend (a former pick 3) and run away from him comfortably.

A player at Stocker's rating (10-20) last year would be a top ten selection this year and most years.

So if we rated Stocker top ten in last year's draft internally then I can't see how it's possible we lose this trade.

I'm sleeping easy.

We didnt win 16 flags at the G. The 1945 flag was won at Princes Park. Others probably too.

But 100% agree with your sentiment.

Oops, you are correct of course. I'd forgotten about the "Bloodbath". I'm off to do some research now! :D

Edit: Okay, here it is:
1897: the first year of the VFL competition, and there wasn't even a grand final
1898, 1899: the grand final was held at the Junction Oval
1900: East Melbourne Cricket Ground
1901: Lake Oval, Albert Park
1902 to 1923: MCG
1924: there was no grand final (there was a round robin final series)
1925 to 1941: MCG
1942, 1943: Princes Park
1944: Junction Oval
1945: Princes Park
1946 to 1990: MCG
1991: Waverley Park
1992 to the present: MCG

So yes, 15 of our flags played on the G, one at PP (1945).
