We felt sorry for St Kilda after Fred Bassat's speech so are trying to help them out.

Or we know we are bringing in another pick for someone like Sharp and can only take so many junk picks to the draft for pick 1. So if we get 49 from Melbourne for Sharp then it nets out an additional 59 points for the mighty Lions draft rorts.

Yeah I don't really understand this from a Brisbane point of view.

From our point of view it's a good move if we keep the 2nd rounder. Once academy selections go through it means we only move back one spot for a pick in the 40's.

Bit of a weird one for Brisbane, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they could be aiming for something else as they’re generally savvy traders.

Nah it'll probably just retain its place or maybe move up or back one or two spots, 27, 28 and 29 don't get lost in bids for Brisbane, Essendon and Gold Coast respectively. They're the picks that move to match. 27 at St Kilda probably moves back to 30 or so so in that sense you're right

45 will probably move into 40 or so

I would assume it's because we don't have the list spots to take all the picks to the draft. Trading up could be a store of value to use again during the draft with a different club.
