In light of Tim Cahill announcing his retirement from international football, now is a good time to select an all-time Socceroos side, based on players from all eras including the 2006 Australian World Cup team.

The requirements are as follows:

-Team formation: 4-3-3 including one goalkeeper.
-6 subs on the bench (2 backs, 2 midfielders, 2 forwards)
-1 coach
-1 captain

Hey just joined the forum, surprised no-one's seemed to be into this but i'll put in my two cents

Mark SCHWARZER

Lucas NEILL Tony VIDMAR Tony POPOVIC Milan IVANOVIC

Mark BRESCIANO Ned ZELIC Jimmy ROONEY

Ray BAARTZ Mark VIDUKA Harry KEWELL

SUBS

DEF - Joe MARSTON
DEF - Charlie YANKOS
MID - Peter WILSON (CAPTAIN)
MID - Vince GRELLA
FW - John ALOISI
FW - Tim CAHILL

COACH: Guus HIDDINK

Some hard choices, left a lot of good ones out and tbh Timmy's lucky to be there, Peter Wilson as non-starting captain, though technically I think 7 in this team had captained Australia, Wilson gets it by default, first one to a WC wins.
