Forgot him, put him in for Hayes.

Surely Enright is in your best 22? 6 AAs 2008-2016 and 2xB&Fs in flag years.

Yep extremely stiff to miss.
He's probably the best back pocket of the 07-17 era and deserves a guernsey but it's Mitchell, Burgoyne and Bartel he's contending with for a spot.
And even if none of them are as defensively dependable as Enright, if I'm picking my best team I want those three in there.

Bartel shouldn't be anywhere near the backline, Enright everyday of the week. Also Martin shouldn't be anywhere near this team on career to date. He might be in league best form at the moment but that's the first time he's done it in his career.

Hard to fit players in from other sides given the Hawks & Cats share 7 of the last 10 Flags:....And great finals performances count doubly for mine.

J.Gibson, B.Lake, C.Enright.
S. Burgoyne, M.Scarlett, L.Hodge.
P.Dangerfield, S.Mitchell, J.Selwood
S.Johnston, N.Riewoldt, P.Chapman
C.Rioli, L.Franklin, M.Pavlich
A.Saandilands, C.Judd, G.Ablett.

S.Pedlebury, A.Goodes, N.Fyfe, R.Gray.

So, 7 Hawks, 7 Cats & some other blokes.

Cop that bench?....Boy oh boy.

As usual, players out of position all over the place.

It's best 22.....Not best 22 from each position Snakey.

Go take another hanger on Kel Moore would ya.;)

And yes....Brent Harvey was very stiff to miss out in my side.

People are taking the piss by not having Swan in there.

I'm the only poster who hasn't got Swan in my side.....Very working class pedestrian & he's not taking the place of anyone else in my team.....Brent Harvey would be next in line & ahead of Swan.

I've tried to make the side as balanced as a standard 22, so didn't stack the back and forward lines with midfielders and kept an interchange with variety.

I see Scarlett in everyone's team, but he only played from 2007-2012, so half of the time frame for these lists. Therefore I don't think he can be selected.

But he sure was awesome for those six seasons...three flags and 4 AAs. He's a lock for my side that's for sure.

Plus, the key back stocks after Scarlett, Rance, and Lake aren't that amazing. I had Hurley as an emergency as the next best (partly because of his swingman ability), then there's Gibbo and Glass and not too much more.

Lake AND Gibson. lol good old fashioned "my team time". Chapman's a no as well.

What on earth are you talking about?.....Lake was the gun FB of his day, in his decade of playing for the Dogs....His inclusion in our team made all the difference in turning the tide against the Cats hold upon us, & in securing us our triple premiership crown.....No Lake, no 3-peat.....He gave us the nerve we so badly lacked down back, in standing up to & physically matching the physical intimidation of both Johnston & Hawkins.

Gibson may well have been only above average at North, but he was easily our best defender from 2010-2016 inclusive....He also won 2 B&F in Premiership years....An achievement that is as rare as hens teeth in the annals of AFL history.

If you're the best defender in a Premiership team, across the span of it's 6 year domination of the competition.....Then you're easily in the team of the decade, of which that 6 years comprises the majority.

And as for Chapman's inclusion....No other player performed over the period in question, as well as he did on the biggest stage of them all....The bigger the game, the better he performed.....He would be the first small forward I'd pick for a major final....Such was his manic attack on the ball & player, in his desire to win at all costs.

And again....The Hawks & Cats account for 7 out of the 10 premierships in the era.....They are always going to dominate team selection here, as both had dominant dynasty's that stretched the length of the era.

Premierships count, as does big game finals performances.....And on that score, my side is unmatched for the period.

Okay, you got crazy defensive there.

First off, I'm not sure how Lake can be the best Full back of his era when you just stated Gibson is the best defender in the team between 2010-2016. Doesn't make a heap of sense that one.

I think almost every spectator in the AFL would pick Rance as the best full back of the era. To the point where he isn't captain of his own team, yet he was named captain of the AA team.

You are quite clearly a one-eyed supporter. I also love how you aren't stating intangible arguments as yours or general opinion, it's apparently fact. Ignorant way of debating football.
