just wondering if anyone reckons picketts bump will get a look at, i know it was fair but the tribunal seem to like picking on him

Well, I think he should be fine, the only things that could cause problems are the fact Trav had already kicked it and the more important fact that he is Byron Pickett.
In all honesty, there isn't much difference between it and the Giansiracusa hit on Kosi last week. The contact wasn't high either, just a bit late.
It'll be interesting. I'm sure he'll get off but just say he does get reported, how many weeks do you think he'd be facing?

The problem was that Crowley never saw it coming and couldn't brace himself for contact. Stiff s**t for him really, he was around the contest and could reasonably expect to get hit, and for lack of awareness got absolutely cleaned up. Pickett shouldn't go for it.

Exactly, stinga. He was around the ball, and should've expected something. Especially when you're playing Byron. If Byron goes, then the bump is officially gone, and the AFL have gone completely nuts.

If they suspend him, somebody at AFL house should be shot.

It was 100% legitimate, no high contact, arms tucked in, in the contest and a part of footy. Jesus, the game is just getting softer and softer. If they start suspending players for bumping players who "don't see it coming", we may as well shut up shop. If you are on a footy field and you don't accept contact, you are playing the wrong sport.
It's upsetting that the player is injured and will be out for 6 weeks, but that was a direct result of contact with the ground, NOT with Pickett. Guerra's tackle which injured Brownlow favourite Bruce, raised no eyebrows from the MRP because it was legitimate, injury or no injury.

Pickett is having a marvellous season, and you just know the clowns running the show will want to ruin that with their stupid rules.

He won't. I honestly would be shocked beyond words if he did. Some interesting points were raised last week with the whole Giansiracusa Koschitzke thing, what if it was Pickett? I guess we will find out because Crowley was also injured, if he goes, and Hodge also gets off, the tribunal is a disgrace, and i would go as far as labelling them racist

I'm just so happy Pickett nailed crowly because he would have been a glove on TJ all day! He's had the tag every single game and finally he didn't thanks to the Pickett Fence! Trav absolutely ran riot, great to watch and great for him and his confidence.

Absolutely right Lighting, releasing our lighter midfielders by being hard at the man and the ball was the prime reason we got Byron.

I am prepared to admit, I have fallen head over heals for Lord Byron - he is going beautifully.

As they should be. Pickett has made some very dodgy bumps in the past but there was nothing wrong with that one.

Yeppa, agree.

Its unfortunate the Crowley was injured but the bump was fair.

If they take the out of the game AFL will become soccer crossed with netball.

Great news. Perhaps some guilt by the tribunal about his persecution last year. Go you good thing Choppy!

Did anyone else happen to notice when Pickett could have cleaned up Harry Miller but pulled out at the last second? Had it not been one of his fellow brothers I would say he would have knocked him into next week!
