People can forget about Pfeiffer getting re-drafted by us. Its not going to happen. He was delisted for a reason and he will not be on our list next year.
Yeh, but the AFC might still have faith in his talent, but they've gone with the big kick right up the ass to try and get him to realise what it takes.

Sticking him on the rookie list wouldn't hurt.......If he works hard, he will get games.

Yes - Marlon Motlop - Daniel's cousin.

181cm 76kg, Medium Forward, won the Alan McLean Medal (best player in Div 2) in the '06 U/16 Champs after putting in three blinder performances - had no less than 28 disposals in each of his three games. He averaged 5 hardball-gets, 7 looseball-gets, 5 clearances and 9 handball-receives and had a total of 17 scoring shots for a return of only 6 goals - but his ability to consistently win both contested and uncontested possession while still being a scoring threat is what makes him dangerous.

If he is available at Port's pick 28 (which I think he might well be) I dare say they will be very keen to take him.

We have 27 right?? surely we'd consider him at that pick??

Sounds exactly like something we need

We need some pace - Meyer / Faulkner would be worth considering.

Forget about Whitnall as we should be rebuilding our forward line with youngsters.

What are peoples thoughts on Kepler Bradley.

It would be funny if we offered Tredders a 2-year deal.

IMO it would be absolutely stupid to delist him and then redraft him. We had to either keep him listed and read him the riot act for one last time, or flick him and never look back. Now we have flicked him, its the end of the association, and we all move forward.

I suspect someone will take him before the rookie draft anyway. Carlton took on Angwin, and Pfeiffer has about 10% of the problems that loser had/has. Someone will take the punt.

Yes we do, however I have a strong feeling we are going to take Maric or Veszpremi with our first selection, both have shown they are dangerous threats inside 50 with Maric the out-and-out small forward type and Vesz the medium-built, attacking inside-midfielder capable of regularly hurting the opposition when going forward. So this area would be temporarily covered with possibly another similar player (sml fwd) taken later or in the Rookie/PSD.

So if we draft one of those two at 10, I can see us looking at a more of an out-and-out midfield type like Greenwood/Normington/Whitecross/Reid/Walker or Ward with 27 and possibly mainly local lads from that pick onwards - McNamara, Patrenko, McDonald, Wundke, Obst are a few we may look at - McNamara the earliest of these while we may get a Patrenko, Wundke or McDonald late if we are lucky.

Why anyone is even considering Lance Witnall as a PSD pick is beyond me. The bloke has huge weight issues, is injury prone, slow and just got told to nick off by Carlton, the team with one of the worst lists in the comp who are void of leadership and KPPs, so if they don't want him why the hell would we. I would prefer we kept Perrie if we were that desperate.

Don't know whether we will bother too much with the PSD, don't think there would be much left by our #9 pick worth having unless it was an Obst or a Salter or something, ie someone we have our eyes set on but perhaps other clubs don't.

So it's Meyer or Pfeiffer for mine.

I am hoping Adelaide redraft Pfieffer. Will be very frustrated if they don't.

Was Meyer delisted by Richmond? If so I would absolutely give him another shot.

I have to admit my ignorance here, is meyer a good player??? I can't actually recall seeing him play?? if so why the delisting??

Also is Bradley worth a look?? obviously the Dockers will take him, but if he slips to us, is he someone that we should look at?? I think so.

Isnt Meyer a wingman, not an inside mid?

No Macca, Meyer is a medium built, Inside Midfielder - and has very much played this way throughout his limited career.

What is most positive about his numbers to date is the fact that he has demonstrated he can effectively dispose of the ball whilst playing an Inside role - his career average contested possession rate of over 40% coupled with his above average kick/handball effectiveness makes him a dangerous inside threat, and says he has a calm head about him (has more time/makes better decisions with both hand and foot) when under pressure compared to the average player.

I think he only needs to be given an opportunity in the right environment to flourish. He has not yet had that opportunity

But this move wouldn't be unprecedented. Didn't we do the same thing with Skipworth? He came back with a good attitude but as I recall it was to send him a rocket - he was mates with Angwin after all.

Shirley was delisted and then redrafted as well in 2002 I think, so it has happened for the Crows before. I would hope we give Pfieffer another shot if he's available, he's got the talent we just need to harness it.

Except that that year was a piss poor draft and we went into it with 3 picks and 3 LATE picks I might add. Our first pick that year was Luke Jericho and he was pick 32. The other two picks that year were Robert Shirley (re-drafted) and James Begley.

I'm pretty sure the Power delisted Adam Kingsley to give him a rocket about his weight and fitness then relisted him before the cut-off date
